So, we picked up the newest from SKAGEN. The "SAMSØ" collection is a solar-powered watch inspired by the Danish island of Samsø.

The SAMSØ collection is offered in an easy-to-use 37mm case. The case, caseback, and dial ring are made of #tide ocean material®, a recycled material such as plastic recovered from the ocean, while the eye-catching colorful strap is made of recycled rPET.

Another key feature of this watch is its solar movement. When fully charged by solar energy or an artificial light source, this movement has a power reserve of 6 months. It is interesting to note that the solar movement is positioned in such a way that it is visible from the dial.

Four colors are available. The colorful braided straps look great on the simple design of the case. The lineup is pop, yet familiar and refreshing, perfect for the coming season.

Incidentally, the island of Samsø, which gives the collection its name, is known as an "energy island" where 100% of the island's electricity needs are met by natural energy. The use of Samsø Island as the theme of the collection is also a point of view that is typical of Skagen, which has long been involved in environmentally conscious manufacturing.
