The hottest spots these days are all in East Tokyo. Naturals, boutique complexes, and coworking spaces for hip creatives are all in the east of Tokyo.
Unlike the busy west side, the east side has a leisurely flow of time, which I think is what attracts many people. DDD Hotel (DDD Hotel) opened in 2019 in such a place. This is the stage for this project.

This "Collective Hotel," as it is called, is not just a place to sleep, as it is a completely renovated business hotel that has been in Bakurocho for more than 30 years. The theme of this hotel, designed by Koichi Futamata of "Case Real," is "what you really need, in the amount you need, at the best quality. Indeed, everywhere you look, there are no unnecessary decorations; it is minimalist. This minimalist approach seems to have something in common with the watches made by SKAGEN.
Denmark, the home country of Skagen, is known as an environmentally advanced country and is much more environmentally conscious than Japan. We try to use upcycled and sustainable materials as much as possible. Of course, the case of the "GRENEN ULTRA SLIM" I am wearing is made of recycled stainless steel. Some models, such as the GRENEN OCEAN, are made from marine plastic.
The first thing to check when you arrive at your guest room is the bedding. All of the bedding has been originally made in cooperation with a long-established manufacturer. The mattresses, which are the key to sleeping comfort, are high-density continuous spring mattresses made with the cooperation of France Bed, and are just the right amount of firmness.
There are no TVs or clocks in the hotel rooms. There are only the bare necessities, such as a tablet, loungewear designed by Hatra, and towels from DESCAMPS, a long-established company founded in 1802 in France. All of the amenities are designed to be comfortable so that you will never get tired of them, and they are strangely cozy, similar to those at Skagen.
GRENEN ULTRA SLIM has a simple dial with two hands and Arabic numerals. The sapphire crystal glass windshield is scratch-resistant, making it easy to use on a daily basis, and it fits any style, so it can be worn with any clothes. I like to wear something like that every day.
Another good thing about the GRENEN ULTRA SLIM is that it has a thin 4.85 mm case that is very comfortable on the skin. So I sometimes forget that I am wearing it. It looks and feels comfortable to wear, and it's also attractive because it plays a supporting role. It is a perfect companion for both on and off-duty wear, as well as for those moments when you are enjoying a relaxing hgge.
