Not aluminum, not polycarbonate, but leather. What is Rimowa's latest product that defies our common sense?

RIMOWA is adding an unlikely leather collection of suitcases to its "Distinct" line. It is expected to become the face of the brand, along with the brand's iconic aluminum and polycarbonate products.

I wrote "unlikely," but in fact, if you go back in the history of Rimowa, they used to sell leather bags before they started using aluminum. However, these were the early products of a brand that has been around for more than 100 years. It is rare to see such a product today.

Rimowa introduced a new production process for the "Distinct" and succeeded in developing a product that uses precise leather wrapping techniques while maintaining the iconic groove design.

Black aluminum is used for the corners and logo badge , accented with silver-colored rivets and fasteners.

Lined in black, it has a zippered compartment and gusseted flap pocket on one side , and a divider on the other.

Another feature of the suitcase is that it comes with a leather luggage tag that matches the color of the suitcase.

The adjustable-length telescope handle and Multi-Wheel System® are similar to other suitcases.
