HELLY HANSEN ROYAL MARINE CLUB" develops universal items that never go out of style by incorporating nautical materials and details into basic designs. The newest addition to the lineup is a denim set-up that skillfully blends genuine craftsmanship with the rough, rugged mood that is typical of HELLY HANSEN.
This jacket is made of 7 oz indigo silk denim from Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, the sacred land of denim, and is densely woven with 60 count twin filament extra long cotton and silk yarn to create a luxurious feel that sets it apart from ordinary denim. Silk yarn has low thermal conductivity, making it cool in summer and warm in winter.
The source of the design was a mackignon coat worn by French horse traders in the 1930s. It has a scissor pocket on the chest and an etiquette pocket, which is typical of the Helly Hansen Royal Marine Club, and the buttons are made of black-lacquered shells with a cuttlefish design. It is a high quality piece of clothing with attention to detail.
Pants made of the same material have a beautiful straight silhouette that falls vertically. The elimination of the side ties provides a good skin feel. The belt loops are specially designed to look great tucked in, and the design of the loop ends is reminiscent of the sails of a sailboat.
A high quality set-up with playful details. It will be an immediate asset for the coming season.
