Spring has come at once. In some areas, temperatures have reached 20 degrees Celsius or higher. This makes people want to go to the beach.
We would like to introduce "Kokoheri Marine," a search support service for marine sports to help you enjoy ocean sports more safely and securely.
Kokoheri, a service originally launched eight years ago by AUTHENTIC JAPAN as a mountain distress response system.
The service boasts 160,000 members as a service that enables rapid search activities to be conducted even when there is no smartphone coverage, through direct communication in which dedicated radio waves from a transmitter are received by a search team's receiver.
The marine version was released this year, and to commemorate the appearance of the original model from HELLY HANSEN, a well-known brand in HOUYHNHNM's, a demonstration at sea was held at the Hayama Marina.
The transmitter sends out three radio signals.
The first is "GPS," which shares location and time information with family members and search agencies. The transmitter's location information is sent to the base station every 3 minutes as long as it is within the network communication range.
The second is direct communication via "Bluetooth". Even local associates and friends can search for you.
And the third is "dedicated radio waves". This is used by search helicopters and public agencies when searching.
During the demonstration, a search was conducted for a person who had fallen overboard, and we were surprised at the high accuracy of the guide. We were surprised at the high accuracy of the guidance system. Even when waves are high and it is difficult to see, the system seems to be able to find a person who has fallen overboard with a single shot.
This time, Helly Hansen has released a special floating vest that can hold a "Coco Heli Marine" transmitter.
Also, for the first time among marinas in Japan, a free rental service of Cocoheli Marine was launched for Sea Style users at Hayama Marina.
With the GW and other major holidays coming up soon, the water-playing season will soon be upon us, and this attempt to reduce the number of water-related accidents, which unfortunately occur every year, is very meaningful.
