HAWKINS" was born in England in the 19th century, and has been a long-established brand that has been involved in military boots and work boots, and has been supported by outdoor enthusiasts for many years due to its high durability and comfort. It is also known for having sparked a major movement among students and street culture in Japan. Inheriting such history, the new "Liam Series" combines the appeal of classic work boots with modern functionality. The design that can be worn in town without any discomfort, while being waterproof and cushioned, is truly a daily boot that is easy to incorporate into daily life. For this issue, we asked stylist Yuta Kaji, who is known for his effortless, undressed style, to describe the appeal of the Liam series. Born in Tokyo, 1991. Drummer of OKAMOTO'S, a four-piece rock band formed by junior high school classmates, released their 10th album "4EVER" on January 22, 2025. OKAMOTO'S TOUR 2025-2026 4EVER NOW" from September 2025. While active in the major scene, he is also a DJ and organizer of "YAGI EXHIBITION".

Style 01: Basic with a twist.

This was my first time styling Okamoto Reiji. This was the first time I had the opportunity to style Mr. Reiji Okamoto," said Mr. Okamoto. "What was important to me was to give him the usual Reiji Okamoto look with a little bit of me. I styled him with my own basic style and a little bit of humor, as he is known to dress freely.

Mr. Kaji chose a button-down shirt from Polo Ralph Lauren and a pair of classic trousers. However, there is a little ingenuity in the size.

The shirt is a boy's size and the pants are a women's size. By keeping the overall look tight, a unique nuance is created in the silhouette. It's interesting how even a basic piece can naturally have its own "character.

On the foot is the Liam Mid from . This hybrid pair retains the classic work boot form, but has been updated for the modern age.

The retro look of the Liam Mid is a major attraction, so it stands out even more when paired with a simple coordinate. By leaving the weight of the shoe on the foot, the entire look is tightened up and a tough impression can be naturally created. This kind of "off-the-shoulder" balance works well.
