Everyone knows the iconic crocodile logo brand LACOSTE. The collection, including its signature polo shirts, combines elements of both elegance and casual wear, and has a wide range of styles for any occasion. At the same time, all items carry the elegance of "premium casual" that is common to the French character. We asked a group of people who are active in various fields to wear such a collection. Through their portraits and interviews, we reveal the appeal of Lacoste.

There is an image first before a message.
Speaking of Haga-san, his first noveltropicalWhat made you decide to shoot that film?
Haga (Japanese brand of sake)After graduating from university, I did not find a job, but rather just wandered around doing what I liked, shooting videos as a freelance photographer. I often went to clubs such as "OATH" in Aoyama, and I was assigned to make a music video for an artist named MONKEY TIMERS, whom I had met and befriended at that time. Jun Murakami was the actor in the music video, and it was my first time to work with a professional actor. Witnessing Jun Murakami's live performance, I thought, "Actors are amazing, I want to work with them.
It's amazing that you have the energy to make a film from there. Is there anything you keep in mind when making a film?
Haga (Japanese brand of sake)I have wanted to make a feature film since I was a student. I am the type of person who takes a long time to write a script, but that's also because I have a visual in mind first. For example, I imagine a man standing facing the sea at night. His surroundings are pitch black. The other side of the ocean is filled with light. The shore where the man is standing is pitch black, but the other shore, which he can see from there, is shining... What does the man want? When I put together these images that come to mind, I naturally find something that becomes a story. That is why I am not the type of person who makes films with a message in mind.

Do you have any ambitions to make a living solely through films?
Haga (Japanese brand of sake)I am not motivated by a desire to make a living from film. If I have a competitive mindset that says, "I'm better than everyone else," then I will never be able to make the films I want to make. On the other hand, it is not the same as self-expression, and I want to make a film that has a definite presence in front of the audience.
I feel that you have a sincere attitude toward films. Will you continue to work on a variety of projects, including music videos, and not just films?
Haga (Japanese brand of sake)I think that if you decide to do something like, "I'm only going to do this," such as a movie or a music video, you're going to be limited in your vision. I think that if you make a decision like that, you will lose your perspective. There was a time when I was working on a corporate video project, and I interviewed women who send telegrams in order to make a manual video. That was interesting. It is interesting to get inspiration from people you don't usually meet, and you discover new things. In that sense, I think it would be more interesting to work in a variety of places, as there would be synergy among them. I am preparing to make my next film next year, so please look forward to it.
