A studio and store quietly tucked away in Higashi-Nakano.
-Both of you worked as assistants to Mr. Kai before going out on your own.
Kaita: There have been five assistants in the past, I am the third and Sho is the fifth.
Sho: Everyone has a different view of the world as a stylist.
Kaita: Yes, it's in pieces. But there is a smell to it. Compared to other people's styling, I think our "ism" is present.
Sho: I understand.
Kaita: Mr. Toshima.（I feel that the first assistant (the first assistant) has inherited his master's ism the most. I have a slightly different orientation, and Sho has the nuances of Toshima-san and me, but with elegance.
Sho: You can tell just by looking at Mr. Kurita's styling. In a word, he is very masculine. You know a lot of brands, don't you? Our group earns money with our feet. It is truly amazing that even after building a career like Mr. Toshima and Mr. Kurita, they continue to visit various places and do a lot of research. I like looking at the catalog pages of the magazines that Mr. Kurita works on.
-Is your selection different from others?
Sho: It's exciting. I have always loved reading magazines, but I think it is better to find something in the catalog pages that makes you say, "What's this brand? I like to discover new things in the catalog pages. That's what makes Kurita's proposals so interesting.
-Because we are earning on our feet, we can introduce you one step ahead.
Sho: I think it is important to go directly to the stores and talk to them and look at items.
Today I came to Higashi-Nakano. Do you often come to Higashi-Nakano?
Kaita: I live close by. But I only pass by by car.
Sho: Me too. I am just passing through on Yamanote Street.
Kaita: But there are a lot of good restaurants. Also, I have an image of Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi. The lyrics of the song are “Standing still in front of Higashi-Nakano station.
Sho: Was there? (Laughs)
-It's a song called "A Dream Hooked on a Telegraph Pole" (laughs). There is a "BTMK" atelier here in Higashi-Nakano, with a store attached that is open by appointment only.
Kaita: A complete appointment system may seem like a hurdle at first, but it is a luxury because when buying clothes, you want to take your time to try them on.
Sho: It is nice to be able to shop while listening to various stories at a leisurely pace.
