There are a thousand different bag brands, each with its own unique charm. Among such a myriad of bag brands, Samsonite Red's products have gained strong support in terms of both design and functionality. To find out why, we asked a stylist with a keen eye for aesthetics, who comes into contact with a wide variety of bags on a daily basis, to tell us. First of all, what do bags mean to you, Mr. Ashino?

Ashino.In my job as a stylist, I carry papers with credits and other small items necessary for photo shoots, so a bag is an object that is always by my side and very close to me. The three main criteria for choosing a bag for my own use are essential: sturdy, lightweight, and easy to use. The deciding factors are being able to take out what I want to use right away and being able to hold a lot of the things I use.

By the way, what kind of bags do you usually use?

Ashino.I go everywhere with my daypack. I use it all the time for work, and when I travel, I often combine my trunk and daypack. Also, I personally like camel-colored bags. I never get tired of it, and it is easy to match with any coordinates.

What role do you assign to bags when coordinating your outfits?

Ashino.It is meant to give a more realistic feel to the coordination. When you go out somewhere, you often have a bag right next to you. Therefore, adding a bag to the styling further emphasizes the sense of everyday life. Also, as is often said, I often use bags as a way to add color to my outfits.

You looked at various types of "Samsonite Red" bags to coordinate this time.

Ashino.First of all, I really liked the "Bias Metal 2" daypack with the diagonal front zip. The design is innovative, and the texture of the material is good, so I wanted to use it personally. I even got excited with a press person I know saying, "I want one of these! I even got excited with a press person I know and said, "I want one of these!

So it's a hot topic in the industry.

Ashino.That's right. I also found the Breeze 2 duffel tote's large capacity and box silhouette to be unusual and interesting. Not only these two bags, but all Samsonite Red bags are user-friendly, not only in terms of design, but also in terms of interior and exterior storage pockets, and their easy-access design. I used to think that tote bags would be difficult to use because it would be hard to find your stuff, but I feel secure in the fact that they have pockets. And the zippered opening makes it a good security measure, and I think it can be used in business situations as well.

Indeed it is.

Ashino.Also, while styling this time, I thought that Samsonite Red's items have strong zips. As with clothing, it is important that the zips on bags glide smoothly, and I think that high durability is essential for long-lasting use. In this respect, Samsonite Red is a well-known suitcase brand, and I can feel that it is well made.

This is a good example of the bag-making know-how that SAMSONITE has cultivated over more than 100 years of history.

Ashino.That's right. I read in a magazine that a designer I liked at the time was using a vintage Samsonite trunk, and when I looked it up, I realized that it was a long-established brand with a long history, and it has stayed with me to this day. Samsonite Red, which has inherited the trust of Samsonite, offers items designed for casual, everyday use, and the quality is assured at an affordable price point. I think Samsonite Red has an appeal that makes people want to use it, whether they know Samsonite or not.

The overall tone of the coordination is in the same direction. In winter, the color scheme tends to be heavy, so I added a touch of color with the bag. Green goes well with camel (duffle coat). Since many of the items used are basic, the color of the bag adds spice to the look.

By daringly slinging a bold red body bag over a traditional-looking chester coat, the coordination becomes much fresher. The red color is exquisite, so it doesn't stand out in an odd way. This body bag is compact but has a surprisingly large capacity, so I imagined it for a short outing, such as carrying a wallet and a plastic bottle.

The overall color scheme is unified with calm colors, and beautiful items such as a high-neck knit, pinstripe slacks, and round-type glasses are used to control the volume of the down jacket. A daypack and sneakers add a casual touch to the look, keeping it from becoming too much of a "clean" look.

While the loose-fitting silhouette of the denim setup is put together, the white coat and camel bag brighten the overall tone and make it look sleek and clean.
