For about seven or eight years, I've been wearing PCU (Protective Combat Uniform) jackets and the M.A.R.S. (Military Advanced Regulator System) series that Patagonia used to deliver to the U.S. military, because I like them. The "EQP Tactical Equipment" was like, "Another new item has been created." The design is a good mix of a PCU level 5 jacket and the "M.A.R.S." fleece, updated to give a completely different impression from the clothing that is the source of the idea. . Very nice. We have combined a high-tech military item with a 40's U.S. Army uniform. Both items are military items, but we enjoy the gap between the two by daring to combine them from different eras.

He oversees the apparel business of Snow Peak, which started in the fall/winter of 2014. He sometimes devises designs based on military wear with full functionality, and incorporates them into clothing that can be worn both outdoors and in the city.

The style that allows me to go outdoors at any time is the basis of my daily life, but what is even more important to me is whether or not I can sleep directly in my tent. I want to be able to sit around a campfire and have a few drinks with my friends, and then go back to sleep (laughs). (Laughs) So I always wear clothes that allow me to relax. EQP Tactical Equipment" has all of these points in mind, and the overall design is urban, which is great. At the same time, the tough and rugged military items have a certain charm. The silhouette is also great, and even though it is a men's item, it would look good on me.

Since it was a charcoal item, I was conscious of minimalist coloring by matching it with a monotone color. . My own style is to wear wool socks with military items, and that's another key point (laughs). (Laughs) For some reason, it just feels right.

It is lightweight and warm. I don't usually carry a bag, so I am glad that it has many pockets. The mesh pocket on the inside is especially large and will come in handy. . The design is simple, but the zips and velcro on the arms accentuate the design and don't make you feel that you're missing anything.

. I have always liked vintage clothing and wear it often on a regular basis. I'm not really interested in trends, and when I notice it, I often choose clothes that people don't seem to wear much. . Today, too, I wore clothes I liked without thinking much about it, but I fit in well with those kinds of coordinates.

I believe that fleece is an item that varies in quality more than you might think. Inexpensive ones are not warm, and they tend to furball easily when washed. But this one is different. The fabric is very well made, and I felt the warmth the moment I put it on. The fabric changes are a key point of the design, and the underarms are made of a thin fabric, so when you put your arms through them, you can slip them in easily and comfortably. It is a very secure item.

I honestly feel that I could wear the fleece without worrying about anything because it is a good thing (laughs). (Laughs) I think there is probably nothing that doesn't match. . I think it is easy to wear it well if you don't use too many colors and keep it to about two colors. The item has a stoic atmosphere.

Many of the clothes sold at Old Joe's are made of natural materials, and the fabrics are heavy and well-made. Perhaps because I was used to that, I was surprised at how lightweight they were when I put them on. I thought, "It's warm, and it's very comfortable" (laughs). Also, the fact that it still retains the ruggedness of military wear is appealing to me. . The function-based design is well utilized, and I feel its strength.

I was conscious of creating a good sense of discomfort by combining such a functional item with the classic clothes I like. The item is voluminous and has a strong presence, so I didn't really think about layering it (laughs). (Laughs) I think that's why it is such a reliable item.
