When running in the mountains, I often wear gloves. Shoes to wear at UTMF.

British Military is now a hot topic of interest.

Perhaps it was because I had been focusing only on American vintage up to now, but the Eurovintage I covered in "Unplugged Vol.6" was just so fresh to me. Especially, there were many British military items that I had never seen before, and I was excited every time I came across new materials and details. I was particularly impressed by the brushed stroke pattern "Denison smock" shown to me by FPM Tanaka. With this in mind, we picked up a piece by Nigel Kevon for this issue. The gear details such as the layout of the dot buttons and the ribbed cuffs were retained, but the material was changed to indigo for a twist. The way Nigel, who is well versed in military wear, has managed to keep the authentic look and feel of this item, and yet make it suitable for everyday use, is something that only he can do. I'm curious to see the real thing, but since there are issues of scarcity and degree, I thought I'd start with this one and get a taste of British military wear.

What is this pattern...?

From Bogen, an apparel brand that gives form to the overflowing love for skiing, we have selected a mock-neck sweater. At first glance, it looks like a traditional sweater with a herringbone pattern, but there is something odd about it. That's because, in fact, the pattern is modeled after the footprints of skiers who climb the slopes with the tops of their skis open in an inverted "C" shape. I was convinced and grinned.
