Poggy's Shop List in New York!

The New York restaurant that "Poggy" Ogi is interested in right now.

You may know him as "Pogie," or Mr. Motoshi Ogi, who heads "UNITED ARROWS & SONS. He is a well-known buyer in Japan and the rest of the industry, and has many followers who support him on social networking sites. Ogi's taste, style, and every move attracts a lot of attention, so we asked him which stores in New York he is interested in. We spent a whole day with Ogi, and we present his complete list of stores.

01. HAYWARD HOUSE, a place related to Dennis Hopper

01_08200011

Hayward House, located on the Upper East Side near Manhattan's Central Park, is owned by Marin Hopper, the daughter of the late Dennis Hopper, and her husband. When you go up to the second floor of the Art Nouveau-style house, you will see her luxury bag brand, "Hayward," on the right. To the left are Dennis Hopper photo prints and books, as well as Hopper's original line of hats, T-shirts, bags, sunglasses, and other items that evoke the good old days in America, but are at the same time modern and elegant. The décor is also meticulously designed with linen-fold wood paneling, hand-painted gold-stitched ceilings, and gold fireplaces. The third floor also houses a penthouse with Hayward's new collection and rare photographs, making it more of a luxury salon than a store.

small treeWhen I was last in New York, Mr. Kamoshita (Creative Director of UNITED ARROWS) told me that I should definitely check out this store if I ever go to New York again, so I went to check it out. In fact, some of the items are currently carried at UNITED ARROWS, and I had seen the items by themselves, but seeing them through the store's worldview is different, and I think the charm of the items comes across even more. I think it is a unique place where you can feel the atmosphere of Dennis Hopper through the entire store rather than just looking at the items.

02. "JJ HAT CENTER", the oldest hat shop in New York

11_PoggyNYC1709_8967

JJ HAT CENTER, established in 1911, is the oldest hat store in New York City, tucked away behind the Empire State Building, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The store is well known for its Borsalino fedoras and berets, and has been frequented by many famous people, including past presidents and that famous man, Lan DMC. . with its stately chandeliers and vintage woodwork. . ties, bow ties, and hats . I don't want to see these items for gentlemen disappear from this world," says Adam, a staff member who says that not a day goes by that he doesn't wear a tie. He says that because men's fashion in the U.S. is becoming more and more casual, he wants to make sure that the good old American hats are appealing to customers. . It is worth a visit just to enjoy the atmosphere of the store, which evokes a sense of history.

At the far end of the store is a workshop where you can choose fabrics, colors, and designs, and have them tailored for yourself, as well as customize ready-made hats or hats that you own. For example, a midriff hat will vary in mountain height, brim width, ribbon width, and crown press, and they will work with you until you find the best hat to fit your needs.

small treeThis is one of the stores I used to visit when I first started going to New York on business . Rather than always buying something, I often go there to get a feel for the store's world view, such as the classic atmosphere, the huge selection of goods, and the way the staff dresses. In that sense, Ginza Toraya Hatten is a store that has the same smell.

03. "CORNER BISTRO," a long-established bar with a local feel

15_PoggyNYC1709_9051

On a street corner in Greenwich Village is a small, quaint, well-established bar. Here at the Corner Bistro, one can usually enjoy a beer at the old wooden bar counter while munching on one of their famous bistro burgers. . It's just a shame that the bar counter was remodeled last year while keeping its original atmosphere. The burger is a hearty creation with American cheese, crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and a thick patty. The trick is to eat it boldly while holding it down with your hands. The simplicity of the burger, combined with the atmosphere typical of an American bar, is sure to make you want to visit again. Another attraction is that you can enjoy a tap beer from the historic bar, McSorley's, for only $4.50. This has always been a very popular place to visit . Sometimes it can get so crowded that you have to wait in line, so if you go, I recommend going right after it opens.

small treeWhen I first came to New York 15 years ago, I was brought to New York by a senior colleague, and I was shocked, because at the time, gourmet burgers were still in the spotlight. If I were asked, "If you were going to eat a hamburger in New York, what would it be? I love this place so much that I would answer "CORNER BISTRO" without hesitation if I were asked what I would eat for a hamburger in New York. The place is crowded with locals at lunchtime, and when there is an MLB game on, everyone is glued to the TV, looking away from the burgers. It's fun to see them happy or sad. It is a little sad to see the remodeling, but the taste is still the same and the food is excellent. You can still feel the old-fashioned diner atmosphere everywhere, so this is definitely a place I would like to visit when I visit New York in the future.

04. promising new star brand "Aimé Leon Dore

20_PoggyNYC1709_9055

Ronnie Fieg, the childhood friend of Ronnie Fieg, the man behind the boutique KITH, which recently celebrated the expansion and relaunch of its Manhattan store.Teddy SantisAimé Leon Dore is a fashion designer who is a leading figure in the fashion industry. With an unpretentious style, the store is a kind of anarchist who points out fashion philosophies to the younger generation. The head store opened in November 2016. Focusing on fashion and lifestyle, the shop offers items that are not influenced by the times, but have a "richness" that is simple yet powerful. In particular, the store's interior, decorated with decorations closely related to black culture such as 90's hip-hop, graffiti, and basketball, is particularly beautiful, and the atmosphere, which straddles the line between jazz-filled streets and luxury, is full of charm that makes you want to see the store at least once. The brand name was originally "Aimé," but it was difficult to register the trademark, so the name was changed. The name "Leon" comes from his father's nickname, and "Dore" from his male name, "TheDore. Despite its location a little far from the center of the city, "Aimé Leon Dore" is bought by everyone from kids to CEOs of major companies. It looks like we will be keeping an eye on it in the future.

small treeI knew about the brand before this store was opened, and I was interested in the brand, but it was still in its infancy at the time. However, they collaborated with "CRESCENT DOWN WORKS" in Seattle, which is famous as a down manufacturer, and with "BARBARIAN", a long-established lager shirt manufacturer, this season. United Arrows & Sons has been carrying the brand since this season. I think that the streetwise and elegant worldview that grows with each passing season is an appeal that no other brand has. The visual look of the collection is also very nice, so please take a look.

05. trend-setting vintage store "Procell

26_PoggyNYC1709_9187

New York City is in the midst of a 90's boom. Leading this boom is Procell, a store run by Brian Procell, a leading figure in the New York vintage world who specializes in 90s items. Procell's lineup includes many rare items from the 90s street culture of skate, graffiti, movies, music, and other genres. Brendon Babenzine of NOAH, one of the most prominent figures on the New York street scene, is one of those who have fallen for the shop's charms. Incidentally, in September of this year, the store also released a vintage collection in collaboration with Alexander Wang.

27_PoggyNYC1709_9154

small treeBefore this, he had a store called "Cort of Arms" on the Lower East Side, and he provided Supreme with vintage clothing from hip-hop and street culture as a sampling source. I have been paying attention to him for a long time. I like his sense of style, and I have been paying attention to him for a long time. Also, it is interesting that in this day and age, he dares not to create an online store, but only operates a physical store. I would like you to visit there at least once.

29_PoggyNYC1709_9246
30_PoggyNYC1709_9318

Scarr's Pizza is located on the east side of Chinatown, away from Little Italy, the largest Chinatown in Manhattan. Although not easily imagined from the exterior, when you open the door and go to the back, the space resembles a diner you might have seen in an American movie from the 80s or 90s. Inside, you will find works by artists of the era, such as Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks," Curtis Kulig's "Love me smiley," and a poster for Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing," giving the restaurant a "New York" feel. You can feel the "New York" spirit. In addition, a skateboarderAlex Olsonand his professional debut on his Call Me 917 label.Cyrus BennettIt also seems to be a gathering spot for those who are leading the New York skate scene today, such as the New York Skateboarding Association (NSA), the New York Skateboarding Association (NSA), and their friends.

SICILIAN PIZZA (SLICE) $4.00

small treeThis is just around the corner from the "LABOR. and I first came here after hearing about it from a staff member at a skate store called "The Skate Shop". I had this square-shaped Sicilian pizza at that time, and it was junky in a good way, the dough was fluffy, and the cheese and tomato sauce on top of plenty of it was delicious. Since then, I often come here for lunch and dinner whenever I'm hungry. The store's original T-shirts were not available until recently, and the graphics are cute, so if you ever come here, you can buy one as a souvenir.

07. French dining "Lucien" loved by big stars and locals

36_PoggyNYC1709_9398

When you open the door, the first thing you see at Lucien is a wall full of photos of celebrities. The red sofas, clean white tablecloths, and lights give the restaurant a somewhat French retro atmosphere. One of the most popular menu items is the mussel and cauliflower soup steamed in a charlotte sauce and served with white wine. It is simply seasoned, but it is packed with the flavor of seafood and makes you happy with every mouthful. In addition to the perfect volume and casual yet delicious food that will fill your heart and stomach, the attentive service of the staff is one of the reasons why you will want to come back. Anyway, "Lucien" places the utmost importance on communication between people. The restaurant is especially busy at night, so it is also a great place to go for a meal.

37_38_poggy_ny_shopliset

small treeI have been to this store 4 or 5 times so far and am good friends with the owner, Zach. . Because of this connection, I asked him to be a model in United Arrows' 2017 AW catalog. His father originally owned a restaurant called "The Pink Pony" on the Lower East Side, where artists, designers, skaters, musicians, and photographers would gather in the early 90's to spend an afternoon, relax, and talk about what's going on. It seems to have been a place where artists, designers, skaters, musicians, photographers, etc. would gather to spend an afternoon and talk about their recent activities in a relaxed atmosphere. Lucien" has the same smell, or perhaps I should say it has a cozy, homey atmosphere, and the food is delicious. It is dangerous to eat too much (laugh).

08. "New Top Jewelry," a jewelry store you want to keep all to yourself.

New Top Jewelry is a jewelry store in Chinatown. It is a hidden spot that has not yet appeared in Japanese guidebooks. Stylists and trendsetters in the downtown area frequent the shop, and it has become a secret topic of conversation in the Japanese fashion industry. The exterior of the store looks as ordinary as any other, but once you step inside, you will find a variety of carefully crafted gold jewelry ranging from catchy items to delicate chains. The store has been in business for about 15 years. The store's signature item is a custom-made nameplate, made entirely of 14-karat gold, at a surprisingly reasonable price. The owner Jane's attentive customer service is also very pleasant. When you visit New York, why not stop by to find a gift for yourself or a loved one?

small treeFor several years now, this has been my favorite jewelry store to stop by every time I visit New York City . . I originally went there after a friend of mine, a stylist with good taste, told me about it, so I have a high level of trust in the store. The twisted necklace I am wearing today was also purchased the last time I was here, and I once had a pendant head made for the "P" in "Poggy" because they offer custom orders for about 3 days when I am here for a longer period of time. I once had a pendant head made for the "P" in "Poggy". I once had a pendant head made for the "P" in "Poggy." I recommend this because you can make your own unique piece. 09. Sant Ambroeus, an Italian restaurant in the Soho district where New Yorkers go to eat.

43_PoggyNYC1709_9509

Sant Ambroeus was established in Milan, Italy in 1936, and now has six locations in New York City. All of the restaurants are characterized by their retro chic atmosphere, but what is unique to the SoHo restaurant is the large number of plates decorating the walls as soon as you step into the restaurant. The restaurant's interior is so special that it makes you forget you are in Manhattan and feel as if you are somewhere in Europe. Sant Ambroeus SoHo has a great location, is a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves great food, wine, and coffee. As you can see from the plates, it is also a gathering place for people active in the art and culture scene. We recommend an after-lunch while people-watching at one of the outside tables. The store in the West Village is a celebrity paparazzi spot, so you might want to make the rounds.

Pennette all'arrabbiata $21

small treeThis place has a different flavor from "Lucien," or rather, it is more of a sophisticated place where upper-class people gather, rather than a restaurant with local roots. . It is interesting just to look at the classic interior of the restaurant, the attention to detail in the service, and the customers who come there. The bar counter in the restaurant is also decorated with "UNITED ARROWS & SONS" plates. It's next to the neon lights and my icon is a landmark, so you can easily recognize it. 10. representative select store "KITH" in New York

47_PoggyNYC1709_9524

The Manhattan location was to be relocated and renovated a few days after the photo shoot, so we had to make a quick change to the Brooklyn location. Nevertheless, the interior of the Brooklyn location is just as impressive as the Manhattan location. Snarkitecture, which has a long and close relationship with the founder Ronnie Fieg, has designed the interior, giving it a more sophisticated look than the flagship store in Manhattan. The 3,000-square-meter space is herringbone of white Carrera marble and a combination of stainless steel, glass, and mirrors to create a luxurious space. . In addition, the restaurant features KITH Treats, a sweet shop that has become a hot topic of conversation in Japan. At the cereal bar, customers can choose from 24 different cereal combinations, as well as add milk and toppings. The unique blend of cereals is mixed and kneaded into the ice cream using a special process, which will certainly surprise you with a fresh texture you have never tasted before. If you have a chance to visit Brooklyn, this is a place to visit at least once.

The Fiegster BY RONNIE FIEG $8.50

small treeI met Ronnie for the first time before the Brooklyn store was opened, so we have been friends for more than four years now. His office is right next to the old Manhattan store, and whenever I go there, we talk about fashion and each other's current situations, and it's a good place for us to exchange information. . I always think that he is a man who is always looking for perfection and has a consistent philosophy, or rather, he is a man who is very particular about everything. Whether it is sneakers, apparel, or food, I feel his strong passion for his products. I think that is the reason why he has made such a great leap forward. The scale of the new Manhattan store, which has moved to a new location, is amazing, and I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.

52_PoggyNYC1709_9655
53_PoggyNYC1709_9677

The flagship store of Brooklyn-based pin accessory brand PINTRILL, created by Jordan, Doni, and Andrew, has quickly gained popularity since its debut in 2014 with its fashion and subculture-savvy pins. Pintrill has quickly gained popularity. In a space of about 1,200 square meters along Grand Street, a few blocks away from the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, they sell and display not only new items, but also vintage pins and apparel sorted by price, as well as retro accessories. Among these, the "trade wall" at the far left side of the store is, as the name implies, a pin barter area, where any visitor can exchange his or her own pins for those on display. Visitors can exchange their own pins for those on display, and on rare occasions, they may even find a super-rare gem. It is a fun place to visit.

There are not only current items, but also a large number of vintage items, many of which I had never seen before, such as sports, movies, Olympics, and character items, and I don't think there is any other place where you can see so many pins at once. It's a one-of-a-kind store where you can feel the depth of the pin world and Jordan's love for pins.
