While it is nice to plan in advance for a full day of fun in the great outdoors, there are times when you just want to go out and have a "little fun in the field" without preparation. There are times when you just want to spend time outdoors with friends in a natural setting that is just a short distance from the city. I went out with "Chums," street clothes with an outdoor taste, to enjoy such a rich time together.

You don't want to do a lot of preparation or careful planning, you just want to have a good time. When you're in the mood, enjoying nature just outside of town is an effective way to get away from it all. Grab a friend, a chair, a desk, a glass of water, some play-doh, and as much light gear as you can carry, and head out to a scenic spot just outside of town. You can buy drinks and food along the way and cut corners where you can.

The orange gradually erodes and blends with the blue, and eventually reverses itself at dusk. This beautiful change in nature, which is hard to see in everyday city life, seems to stimulate the memories that reside in our DNA. Drink, eat, and play in moderation, and watch the day go by.
