The Burton US Open is held every year in Vail, Colorado. About a two-and-a-half hour drive from Denver Airport, the highway winds through the spectacular mountains, leading to a beautiful yet somewhat secluded resort village with a retro warmth.

The town is lined with luxury hotels and condominiums, numerous restaurants and ski stores, and is directly connected to the slopes. The town is classic, yet modern and functional. During your stay, you can immerse yourself in a comfortable and mellow snow life. The contrast with the magnificent snow-capped mountains is also very beautiful.

Of course, there is also a Burton store in the village. With a huge selection of gear available, and board maintenance and other services available at any time, you can enjoy snowboarding with no stress at all times.

During the event, parties of all sizes were held throughout the town every night, and popular artists performed outdoors on the night of the competition finals. The entire town of Vail was transformed into a festival-like atmosphere by bringing together snowboarders from all over the world and local people, as one would expect from "Burton.

The Burton US Open 2016 was held over four days, starting with the Junior Jam, followed by the Halfpipe and Slopestyle Qualifiers and Finals. As one of the world's top competitions with history and authority, we were able to enjoy the serious riding of big names such as Shaun White and Danny Davis. From Japan, top Burton riders such as Ayumu Hirano and Taku Hiraoka, medalists from the Sochi Olympics, as well as Katsayama Katsumu and Onizuka Masashi, who are expected to make great strides in the upcoming PyeongChang Olympics, gathered in Vail.

Here are some photos of Burton's riders riding in the women's halfpipe. First up is the new heroine of the women's snowboarding world, Chloe Kim, who, after winning the Winter X-Games for the second year in a row, took first place in the women's halfpipe at the Burton US Open with a flawless ride that blew everyone away. 16-year-old's unfathomable talent captivated the audience. We will bring you the real face of the 16-year-old in the next issue.

Behold this height! Sochi Olympics Men's Halfpipe bronze medalist, Taku Hiraoka, showed off his near best riding on this big stage. He qualified only 7th, but in the first run of the finals, he scored the second-highest score, behind only Shaun White.

Hiraoka immediately after his second run in the finals. He was overtaken by Ben Ferguson and finished a close third, but his aggressive and bold riding left the packed house in high spirits.

As you can see, the venue was so packed with enthusiastic visitors from all over the U.S. and Europe that there was not a single space left. This scene alone shows the high level of attention snowboarding is receiving in the U.S. and Europe. It is definitely one of the top categories of winter sports in terms of both competition and entertainment.

With the excitement and unity of the audience at its peak, the last man to make an appearance was, of course, Shaun White. Shaun White, who had failed in the slopestyle event earlier in the day, showed off his prowess in the halfpipe final with a ride that was one of a kind. It seems that the overwhelming presence of Burton's superstar is still alive and well.
