Veuve Clicquot Yelloween with Asami Imajuku

Beautiful women and handsome champagne

Halloween again caused a stir throughout Japan this year (mainly in Shibuya). In Roppongi, Veuve Clicquot held its "Veuve Clicquot Yellow Win Lounge" for two days only on October 28 and 29. This was a different kind of Halloween from the usual media frenzy, and could be called an adult Halloween. The editorial department of Huinum participated in the pre-event on the previous day together with model Asami Imajuku. Here is a report on the event.

Wherever people gather, there is good Champagne.

As Mr. Imajuku said, "It has a refreshing aftertaste, so you can drink it in spurts," Veuve Clicquot's flagship "Yellow Label" is one of the most fruity and easy-to-drink Champagnes. The glasses served at the event were pleasantly empty one after another.

Nowadays, the best part of Halloween is to dress up in costumes of your choice and participate in the event. At the pre-event, which was by invitation only, I got the impression that most of the participants, both men and women, were dressed in elegant styles, but there were also participants with face paint, which was just the right balance.

On Halloween, the first Halloween after the birth of my child, the whole family dressed up in costumes and took a commemorative photo" (Imajuku).

Imajuku says the best place and timing to enjoy Champagne is "when you can toast with your loved ones while laughing with them. We toasted with Veuve Clicquot on our first Christmas after getting married! But I drank a little too much (laughs).

The amount of glasses served alone was remarkable, but the event was also filled with a wide range of other contents, including playful venue decorations and DJ and dance performances by Arisa Urahama and ZEEBRA. Above all, the "Madame Clicquot House" that suddenly appeared in Roppongi 7-chome just for this event may have surprised even those who did not attend the event.

A portrait of Madame Clicquot, the founder of Veuve Clicquot, was displayed at the event. Incidentally, "Veuve" in the brand name means "widow. Madame Clicquot is also famous for having grown the Maison with her own hands.

The night of festivities and excitement has passed, but the yellow-labeled champagne will continue to liven up the occasion whenever we get together with friends. Veuve Clicquot, which Ms. Imajuku describes as "the image of an elegant and refined adult," will surely make any ordinary gathering into a luxurious occasion.
