The Burton US Open 2016, one of the most prestigious competitions on the world snowboarding scene, took place last February 29 through March 5. We started our report on the big snowboard festival held at the Colorado Vail mountain resort last week, and this time we present a collection of snaps focusing on the real faces of the Burton riders who competed in the competition and the cool audience we found at the venue. Their stylish appearance reveals this season's snowboarding style trends!

Top riders also have "style" in their clothing choices.

First of all, Taku Hiraoka (, pictured left ), who won 3rd place in the men's harp pipe, was wearing a monotone camouflage jacket and work-style brown pants. His masculine coordination, which could be worn on the streets, looked great on the snowy mountain. Finnish skier Lope Tonteri, who competed in the slope style event, chose a slim jacket with a slightly longer length, which is a standard color scheme in the snowy mountains.

The young rider who made the biggest impression at this year's competition was Redmond Gerard. Although he was only 15 years old at the time of the competition, he showed aggressive riding in the slopestyle event and placed 5th. . He is a hot prospect who has the potential to make a big breakthrough in the future. He is said to wear bib pants and shirts, which are becoming mainstream again these days.

Always dazzling with a smile, women's slopestyle 8th place finisher Haley Langland (, pictured left, ), is another bib pants fanatic. . She is also a bib pants fanatic, and her one-tone street-like black coordinate with a long T is stylish. The Japanese duo on the right of the photo is Yuka Fujimori (, left ) and Masashi Onizuka, who competed in the slope style. Both are wearing khaki, a trendy color on the fashion scene, as an accent.

The relationship between fashion and snowboarding explored through off-shoots.

At the "CHILL" charity party hosted by Burton at the Village of Vail during the competition. Ben Ferguson, 2nd place in the halfpipe, (, pictured left, ), also wears a cool casual outfit. . On the right is Christian Holler from Switzerland. He competed in the halfpipe and we hear that he loves wearing Burton Thirteen's navy jackets in his private life.

Also at CHILL. Danny Davis, a superstar of the Burton brand, was kind enough to meet us for a photo shoot with a friendly smile. The fleece with a nice classic outdoor taste was actually worn while riding in the snow, which was impressive. . He is a cool guy in style, character, and everything else.

Vail is home to a diverse group of "Burton" lovers.

. We snapped a variety of people who were visiting the Vail Mountain Resort, the venue for the event. The duo (, pictured left, and ), pictured right, who came to watch the Burton US Open 2016 on vacation, were both wearing [ak] clothing. The green and khaki tones match well. The woman who chose this chic outfit, also from "[ak]", is a staff member at Burton.

The staff of the Burton store set up in the venue, ( (left photo) and ), were all wearing Burton clothing in their own way, which was cool. His ( (photo right) and ) were very eye-catching in their cute all-over patterned clothes, and their caps casually matched the color scheme, which was also cute. Burton was the most popular brand for kids' wear as well.

As one would expect from Burton, the uniforms of the official staff members ( and ) (left photo) were outstandingly cool. The bib pants, which incorporate authentic American work taste, were the subject of many "I want those! The bib pants are a classic American work-style item, and the team was full of "I want those! The same can be said for the man on the left, who is wearing a one-tone khaki color scheme. I have a feeling that work and military style pants will once again become a trend in the snowboarding scene in the future.

This is the most current style of the champions.

. Finally, we look at the style of the two main protagonists who won the men's and women's halfpipe, respectively, at this year's competition. First is Chloe Kim, 16 years old, who has made the leap to the top of the women's halfpipe scene, both in name and reality. She is a very friendly and charming girl, but she chose to wear classic clothing with Native American-style patterns and colors. Her strong riding performance with menswear-like coordination was truly impressive.

. The last but not least is the man himself. As a trendsetter and fashion icon in the snowboarding scene, Shaun White's choice of clothing and board attracts a great deal of attention every season. At the Burton US Open 2016, he showed a style unlike anyone else's, wearing all black, slim pants, and a short down jacket. This down style may be seen in many snowy mountains around the world in the future.
