SOREL is a Canadian brand that offers a wide range of comfortable footwear. SOREL is widely known as a pioneer of winter boots, and has gained support from a wide range of users for its reliable functionality and richly varied designs. We asked six men and women from various occupations to try on a pair of SOREL boots for town use, and talked with them about what makes them so attractive and what makes them stand out. Here are the three participants for the second part of the interview.

How did you feel when you tried on the Sorel boots?
Prunus salicina: When you try them on, you will find that they are warmer than they look because the inside is covered with fleece material. I usually wear sneakers that are easy to move around in, but these boots look like a pair that I could wear like sneakers. The design also looks sleek, except for the white piping.
What is the point of today's coordination?

Did you have an image of "Sorel" in your mind?

Do you have any rules for choosing your own shoes?
Prunus salicinaI guess it's a balance with the overall coordination. I usually choose my shoes after deciding on my outfit, so I consider how they will go with my outfit for the day. Because of my work, it is important to have shoes that are easy to walk in and easy to take off.
As a stylist, what kind of coordination would you recommend for these boots?
Prunus salicinaI think: It can be worn with either pants or a skirt. I was not sure which to choose for today's coordination. I also think that unifying items with similar color schemes, with gray at the core, will bring cohesion and give a clean impression. It would also be good if the sense of the season can be subtly expressed.
Sorel is also famous for its outdoor boots.
Prunus salicinaI climb mountains occasionally, though not often. Recently, I went to Okutama area. At that time, I climbed the mountain with the sneakers I had with me, but I think these boots would be fine for places where I can easily go.
Yasuhua Lee
Born in Tokyo in 1991. While in college, he studied under a stylist who worked mainly in commercials and TV, and became independent in 2015. Currently, he focuses on styling for artists and actors. Her distinctive style is to coordinate with vintage clothes and men's items.

How do you feel about Sorel boots?
MiuraI'm going to the construction site often, so these boots that are easy to take off and put on are going to be very useful. I heard that they are also waterproof, which is even better.
Have you heard of the Sorel brand?
MiuraI didn't know that much about it, but I think that a brand with a solid history can be trusted. This also applies to the furniture and sundries I am involved with.
What is the point of today's coordination?
Miura: Since these boots have a sharp shape, I was conscious of making them look smart and not too casual. Another key point is that I matched the coloring with a cardigan, which is also a part of my wardrobe.
Do you usually have a particular taste for fashion?
Miura: Basically, I only wear basic colors such as gray, navy, white, and beige. I rarely have colored clothes. When I work, I often wear a jacket or a cardigan like today.
Please tell us about your work at "51% (gowari itibu)".
MiuraAt "51%", we are able to propose a unified world view from space creation to even a single accessory. I am in charge of both commercial and residential architecture, from the initial stages of planning and planning, which have yet to take shape, to the completion of the project. There is a lot involved, but I am sure that the satisfaction I get from the process is what motivates me now.
Do you get inspiration from fashion in your own creations?
MiuraIt may be surprising, but there are a lot of them. In particular, the space and architecture of stores created by people in the fashion industry are very informative because they take a different approach from our sensibilities, ideas, and points of view. This kind of approach to space from outside of architecture is something we envy from those of us who are more conscious of the rules of architecture.

How did you feel when you tried on the Sorel boots this time?
full moon: My first impression was that they were light and easy to wear. I also liked the color, so I really like them. Of course I can wear them around town, but I think I can also wear them in active situations such as in the mountains or at the river without stress.
Do you have many opportunities to wear boots this season?
wealthy bank: I wear mouton boots every year during the cold season. They are comfortable and keep me warm, which is essential in winter. Boots are one thing, but I have always loved shoes, so I wear a variety of sneakers and heels.
Do you have a particular fashion sense in your daily life?
wealthy bank: For a while, I often wore black clothes, but one day, after a color consultant told me that black and my skin color did not match, I started wearing earth-colored clothes that blended in with my skin.
These boots are also brown. When would you like to wear them from now on?
When I am working on a piece of work, I usually wear work clothes such as a tuna, but it looks like it would go well with such clothes, and it also looks like it would go well with casual clothes for private use. It would also be good for hiking.
What kind of environment do you usually work in?
wealthy bankI am usually in my atelier when I am working on a piece of artwork, and I am basically working on an exhibition. Other than that, I often get inspiration from my daily life and animals I meet when I visit rural areas, which is where my next creations come from.
Do you go to different places to look for ideas?
wealthy bankI often go there when production has settled down or when an exhibition is over. Recently, I went to Iriomote Island to do research, and I also went to an uninhabited island for a TV program (laughs).
