While "age" and "rarity" are of course part of the thrill of vintage clothing, it's a bit nonsensical to get caught up in that alone. There is a lot of fun to be had with regular vintage clothing. We have invited Mr. Nakano of "dojoe", Mr. Hatanaka of "weber", and Mr. izmt of "AnoLuck", who are holding a vintage clothing event focusing on regular T-shirts, "Doregular T-shirt Exhibition", to exhibit their items at the event. They taught us about the appeal and enjoyment of regular T-shirts while holding the T-shirts to be exhibited at the event in their hands. He is the chief strategist of "Weber," a nomadic vintage clothing store with no physical store or web store, and operates only by opening events. He has opened stores at HOUYHNHM's 15th anniversary festival "HNF," "Hibiya Central Market," "Pop by Jun," etc., and has been the talk of the town, drawing long lines at each event.

In 2014, she opened an online vintage clothing store "Anorak". She moved to Niigata and is currently struggling to raise her children while running the online store.

. First of all, please tell us about the "Doregular T-shirt Exhibition" and what kind of event it is.

Nakano:What a great event to collect dreary T-shirts. For example, many of the T-shirts from local businesses and restaurants are interesting and unique, even if they are not old. We planned this event in the hope that people would enjoy facing the coolness of ordinary designs and graphics, without being bound by values such as age.

I don't see many other events that focus on regular vintage T-shirts, and I think it's an interesting experiment.

Nakano:. To be honest, the T-shirts we are selling here are all secondhand and have no value at all. We don't have any pointers or other product descriptions, but we would like to convey the idea that there are many good-looking T-shirts even if they were not designed by famous designers.

izmt:Since this is regular used clothing, the top price is also set at 5,000 yen or less. . because any more than this and the price would be beyond the regular category for me personally. I want people to enjoy them as if they were candy.

Hatanaka:Yes, I agree. Valuable vintage T-shirts are of course attractive, but good does not always = expensive. If you look at regular T-shirts from a slightly different perspective, they are deep and worth digging into.
