Outdoor activities are enjoying an unprecedented surge in popularity in the wake of the Corona disaster. Fishing is definitely at the top of the list. There are various types of fishing, including active fishing out to sea on a boat with a group of friends, and fishing on a lake or river where you can face yourself. The main attraction of this activity is that it can be enjoyed according to the tastes and interests of those who enjoy it. Fishing fashion has become a vibrant trend in this era. Takeshi Konishi
DESIGNER

Born in Tokyo. Former childcare worker. Started "Chaos Fishing Club" with fishing and skateboarding friends. She is active at her own pace under the slogan, "I'll just do what I want. is the motto of her activities at her own pace.

Do you want to do it the hard way? Fusion of street and fishing.

Items created by skillfully mixing street culture and fishing have sold out across the board. Chaos Fishing Club" has been attracting attention among fashion lovers.

I have been fishing since I was in elementary school in my hometown of Sumiyoshi (Tokyo), and later I started skateboarding as well. It was like a club that I started while playing with my friends. At first, I made T-shirts and stickers and handed them out to people I knew.

Designer Takeshi Konishi says in a matter-of-fact tone. I made my first T-shirt in 2010. Slowly and steadily, the brand began to spread throughout the street, and today, requests for collaboration with various brands are pouring in. The brand has grown considerably.

About five years ago, I was suddenly contacted by Dover Street Market in London, and they began to carry my work. I think it was the result of doing what I found interesting.

When asked what is important to them when designing clothes, the following answers were given.

The silhouette is stress-free when fishing and skateboarding. We also keep in mind the functionality that allows you to play without any clothes on. When I actually wear it for fishing, it is easy to use. But our basic stance is that we want to do things at our own pace and in an appropriate manner. We would be happy if people positively understand and enjoy our way of doing things.

This set-up, made of water-absorbent, quick-drying nylon fabric, is a fishing-focused piece. We are confident that the collar can be turned up to hide the neck for ventilation and sun protection. Of course, it also ensures ease of movement. Shirt ¥20,900, Pants ¥19,800 (Chaos Fishing Club)

This is the first time he has used corduroy," he says of the caps he has made as a regular item. The exquisite coloring is eye-catching. Cap ¥7,700 (Chaos Fishing Club)

A lure case collaborated with "Abu Garcia" a few years ago. The inside of the case has the words "I'm going to do it right! on the inside. He is happy that "I was allowed to make it as I wanted. Personal belongings of Mr. Konishi.

The graphics were done by a friend's wife. T-shirt ¥7,150 (Chaos Fishing Club)

The deck from Evissen Skateboards is a recent addition to the collection. It is said to "glow with black light. It is Konishi's personal possession.

I asked an artist named GURU KATO to draw this illustration. The original illustration is framed and displayed in my studio," says Konishi.

Fishing rods actually used by Mr. Konishi. On the left is a Fenwick cherry salmon rod, and on the right is a Huelco pack rod that he can take with him on trips.

The "wanzu" worm (pseudo-bait) is made by a member of the Chaos Fishing Club. It catches fish like crazy! Konishi also praised it highly. The bat with nails on it is a memento of "once sold for 500,000 yen, but it didn't sell (laughs).
