You wore Vans' outdoor series "MTE" this time. How was the comfort?
Vans' sneakers have a "floppy" feel like deck shoes. I think the feeling of being on the ground is also a good thing, but the "MTE" sneakers this time gave me a totally different and fresh sensation. I was surprised that the cushioning was good and that all models were light and easy to move around in.
YOUNG DAIS was born and raised in Asahikawa, a city known for its heavy snowfall. What are your requirements for winter shoes and what kind of functionality do you look for?
Even Hokkaido residents who wear winter shoes fall down when they fall down (laughs). (Laughs) So rather than grip, I place more importance on warmth and cushioning. Also, when it comes to shoes to wear in snowy areas, boots and other heavy shoes are inevitable, but I think the "MTE" has a great advantage in that it eliminates that heaviness.
