What kind of work do you do at Suigen no Mori?
Katsuyama:I am often found in the "clubhouse," a facility located in the center of the campground. There, I work as a staff member, standing at the reception desk and helping customers rent camping equipment. In addition to my work at the campground, I also check my e-mail and do other work using a PC.
Even when there are few visitors, such as during the winter, there is still a lot of work to be done in the campground management. We are just as busy as during the peak season. In particular, I am always at the campground on weekends to provide support to our guests, such as carrying in camping equipment brought in and preparing rental equipment.

What kind of visitors do you usually have at the campground?
Katsuyama:Many families come to camp with their families because of the easy access from the city center. Some people say, "Today is my first time camping!" Some of them even say, "Today is my first time camping! We have a variety of rental equipment available, so even if you don't have all the gear you need yet, you can easily come.
So in winter, there will be a little less visitors.... I think it is nice and empty for those who like to camp and are experts.

Do you usually wear a watch?
Katsuyama:Actually, I didn't use it much when I was an office worker, but I started wearing it every day since I became a freelancer.
Since I often work in irregular locations and at irregular times, I try to check the time frequently. Wearing a watch makes me look like a decent person (laughs).
Did you change the way you worked and the way you dressed?
Katsuyama:My clothes have basically not changed much since my days as an office worker. My styling is such that I can blend in with the city while still incorporating outdoor items. I try to look neat while still being able to move easily, though, since my job requires me to meet clients at campgrounds and for meetings.
So the watch should also be easy to match with the style of the moment.

How do you feel when you wear the G-SHOCK 2100?
Katsuyama:I was interested in this watch because I thought the metallic look was not like G-Shock. The digital dial is also good, but the dial gives a more formal look and is easier to match with a jacket. It doesn't feel heavy even though it is made of metal.
I can wear it without worrying about what I'm wearing, and it has a definite look.
