Easy and modern is justice. The deep appeal of tracksuits based on adidas Sportswear's TIRO.

The sportswear that has gained the right of citizenship as a fashion item is the tracksuit made of jersey material. The newest addition to this category is the "TIRO" tracksuit from adidas' new "adidas Sportswear" label. With its roots in soccer, this solidly designed suit can be worn comfortably in a variety of off-court situations. The visual for this versatile set-up was created by Atsuo Izumi, a stylist and self-confessed soccer fan. Tracksuits as street wear.

H: Izumi did the styling for the promotional visuals for the "TIRO" tracksuit collection released by "adidas Sportswear". In this interview, we would like to hear his explanation of the coordination using two key items, as well as culture and soccer talk related to "adidas".

Izumi: Thank you for your time!

H: First of all, what is your impression of "adidas"?

Izumi: While there are various lines within the brand, I feel that each genre is clearly separated.

H: What do you mean?

Izumi: "adidas Performance" is stoically made as sportswear, while "adidas Originals" can be worn as fashion. The "adidas Sportswear" introduced here stands right in the middle of these two labels. It combines functionality cultivated in the performance field with minimalist design, giving the impression of being easy to use on a daily basis. Also, when I think of "adidas," soccer comes to mind.

H: How long have you loved soccer, Izumi?

Izumi: I started getting interested in soccer when I was in elementary school at the time, at the 1998 World Cup in France, and got into it in earnest when I was in junior high school. However, I myself have never been a member of a soccer club. I liked it so much that I regarded it as a noble sport (laughs).

H: You said you have a strong respect for soccer (laughs). Speaking of Izumi, I have the impression that you often incorporate sporty items into your styling. Is that also influenced by soccer?

Izumi: Yes, that's right. I often refer to how overseas players and local supporters dress, and seeing their outfits makes me want to adopt sportswear as a fashion statement.

H: What kind of items, for example?

Izumi: I often wear track jackets from "adidas". In spring and fall, I wear it with denim or chinos, and in winter, I put a coat over it. In winter, I wear it with a coat over it. I tend to dress in the image of casuals.

H: Casuals is a style that originated from the English working class who went to soccer stadiums.

Izumi: Yes. Also, when I saw overseas artists wearing "adidas" track jackets, I started to imitate them. I think their style has a certain sense of escapism.

H: What do you mean by "ebb and flow"?

Izumi: Is it the familiar mood that comes from the clever sizing?

H: I see, not to wear it tight.

Izumi: Yes. I think the relaxed size creates a natural atmosphere as if I always wear it.
