He appeared in the drama shower "One Room Angel," which started on October 19 (Thu.) on MBS and other stations, starring alongside Takuya Nishimura. He is also a popular actor active in a wide range of other fields, such as historical dramas, movies, and commercials. He is also the MC of KANDYTOWN LIFE, which celebrated the end of its "LAST LIVE" performance at the Budokan this March, and is known for his expertise in various genres such as music, golf, cars, and furniture collecting.

The good thing about being local and the relationships with fellow workers.

Nearly half a year has passed since the end of KANDYTOWN LIFE's "LAST LIVE" at the Budokan, which left a lasting impression on many people. How did you spend your time after that?

Uesugi:Right now, I am concentrating on work since I am in the middle of filming a drama. But before that, I saw Kendrick Lamar live at Summer Sonic, played golf with KEIJU (*KANDYTOWN LIFE member and rapper) on holidays, and went to the gym with Gottz (*KANDYTOWN LIFE member and rapper) since we live close together. Gottz (a member and rapper of KANDYTOWN LIFE) and I went to the gym together since we lived close to each other.

Personally, my life has not changed much from the past.

I see that you still meet and hang out with the members of KANDYTOWN LIFE.

Uesugi:Yes, we usually meet and play together. However, it is true that the number of times (we meet) may have decreased from before (when we were active as KANDYTOWN LIFE). It's not that we used to hang out that often.

Of course, we would get together when there was a live concert or production, but our private life was rather free, and we would go out and have fun when the timing was right.
