Even if you know this in your head, you may find it difficult to take the first step into the outdoors. To help you get started, THE NORTH FACE and UNDERCOVER are collaborating on a project called "SOUKUUU". The second release, following last October, is a collection focusing on trekking and trail running. Wearing technical wear with functionality and design guaranteed by these two big names, you are ready to take on the unknown field!

SCENE02 TRAIL RUNNING
To the Izuyama Ridge Trail in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Next is the trail running section. The stage is the "Izu Mountain Ridge Trail" in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is a beautiful nature trail that runs from Amagi Pass to Shuzenji and is part of the course of the popular trail running race "IZU TRAIL Journey.

Trail running is a popular activity in recent years that involves running on uneven off-road terrain such as mountain trails and forest roads. It requires different equipment from road running in town, such as clothing that can cope with sudden weather changes and shoes with high grip.

Here are the two who will be taking on the challenge of trail running. They are Takuma Kaneshiro and Miki Miki.

Ms. Kaneshiro worked as a store staff at a vintage clothing store before becoming a model. Her hobbies include running and mountain climbing, and since 2021 she has been the official YouTuber for Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, where she shares the rich natural attractions of the Yatsugatake Mountains and other mountains.

Miki is active as a model in various media and advertisements. She loves nature and enjoys a variety of hobbies such as mountain climbing, biking, diving, fishing, and skiing.

They are both avid fans of sports and activities and are familiar with the outdoors, but this will be their first time trail running. What kind of experience awaits them in the unknown field of running in nature?
