Born in 1993 in Kanagawa, Japan, she has been a store staff member of the famous Kichijoji store "The Apartment" since 2018. He loves baseball and his favorite team is the Yokohama Bay Stars.

First of all, how did you come to like street style?
Shun:I have loved clothes since I was a child, and I was always going around to recycle stores. After realizing the appeal of vintage clothing, I started checking out 90's street fashion.
Is that how you came across The Apartment, where you are now working as a staff member?
Shun:I first learned about the store when I entered high school and actually went there. At that time, I didn't have any knowledge, so I didn't understand why this was selected or what they had on display at all.
From there, I began to do a lot of research on my own and came to understand that each item purchased by "Apartment" had its own meaning. It was a store that I had always admired, and one day I was offered a job there.
It has been about 6 years since you started working here.
Shun:I think it is important to have a store in Kichijoji, not in the heart of Shibuya or Shinjuku. The people who go out of their way to come here all love fashion. When I talk with them and see what they are wearing, I learn a lot from them. I am also very much influenced by them.
What are some of the most memorable episodes you have seen recently?
Shun:Last year, I suddenly received a DM from a New York-based brand asking me to model for them on their Instagram. I thought I was supposed to shoot in Japan, but they invited me all the way to New York. I thought they were going to shoot in Japan, but they invited me all the way to New York. It was a great experience because I was working at Apartment.
I'm sorry to change the subject, but "The Apartment" regularly releases special orders from "Grip Swanee", don't you?
Shun:The first special order release I experienced after joining Apartment was a pair of "Grip Swanny" shorts. And they were the very first ones in swanny yellow. So, every time we release a special order of "Grip Swanee," I feel like I have worked for another year.
I see that this is a memorable brand for you, Shun. Today we asked you to wear the "Gear Baggy Shorts." What do you think is the appeal of this item?
Shun:After all, it is a three-dimensional cut. The comfort is totally different. We like it so much that we have ordered a special order of our own. We definitely take them with us when we go to the mountains.

Shun:I haven't been to the beach for a while now, but I used to go there often, and I've always loved catching bugs. So I am intrigued by brands like "Grip Swanny" that can be worn outdoors and in town. When I wear these shorts outdoors, I can tell that their claim that they fit in well with both situations is not a lie.
Please tell us about the key points of today's styling.
Shun:The overall tone is darker to match the olive of the shorts. The key is to keep the colors similar. Recently, when I wear dark-toned clothes like today's, I don't want to include white because it would make the outfit stand out. For example, if I wear a white T-shirt, I want to wear bright colors all over.
What do you think of the recent trend away from shorts among young people, Shun?
Shun:It is true that you may not see young people wearing shorts at all when you stand in a store. However, I believe that these shorts are timeless.
Regardless of trends, what I think is good is good regardless of what others think, and I think I will still be wearing them 10 years from now. Personally, I wish young people would wear shorts more. They are comfortable (laughs).
