I think there's something special about the collaboration with [Undercover]. Collaboration with Undercover is something special.
-When did you first become interested in fashion, Mr. Tsuzuki?
Tsuzuki: I became interested in clothes through the influence of a friend when I was a sophomore in high school, and g.u. was my gateway to this love. One day, a large g.u. store opened in my hometown of Ryugasaki, Ibaraki. It was on the site of a former drugstore, with a ramen shop and gas station on either side. There was also a UNIQLO store in the back. I never forget that.
-It's a big place with a big parking lot. The parking lot is huge, and it's like a local hot spot where everyone gathers.
Tsuzuki: I remember buying a pair of light blue, stretchy, slightly slim pants with a T-shirt and a cardigan. I remember buying a pair of light blue, stretchy, slightly slim pants with a T-shirt and a cardigan. The prices were reasonable while incorporating the trends of the day, so it was easy to try them on. I felt that these were the clothes of our generation. I can say that my fashion history started at "g.u. I can say that my fashion history began at the g.u. Ryugasaki store.

-Have you already heard about this new line from Undercover and g.u., "YUZY"?
Tsuzuki: Of course, I read an article about it on a web fashion media, and it naturally caught my attention and became a very hot topic, even amidst all the news that comes out every day. Not only this "Yoozy," but usually, collaborations tend to be more expensive than inline products. It can be hard to find. However, the best thing about g.u.'s collaboration items is that they are easy to find even though they are collaboration items. This is true for the price range, and it is also true for the number of items in stock.
-The collaboration line with "Undercover" is just like that! I guess you could say that it's just like that.
Tsuzuki: Yes, yes. And it feels special, doesn't it? Collaboration with "Undercover" is very special. And it was a surprise to find it with "g.u.," which is in a contrasting position in terms of context. The former is a leader in Japanese fashion and is also active in Paris, while the latter has stores all over Japan and is in the process of growing into a global brand. I was very happy to see the interesting aspect created by overlapping the different layers of the two brands.

-I wonder if the generation of Mr. Tsuzuki has a different impression of "Undercover" than the generation that has known "Undercover" since the 1990s.
Tsuzuki: The impression one gets from each season is different, and it is difficult to put it into words, but personally, I have a strong image of "music," which is also the foundation of the brand. I have always been impressed by Jonio's creativity in sublimating the impulse that arises from his encounter with punk culture through his own filter into an original expression.
The overall taste of the -2025 Spring/Summer "Yoozy" is casual, but there is a sense of "character" here and there. Now, what do you think of the styling of this item?

Tsuzuki: The T-shirt has a cute, relaxed hamburger design. The green lettuce and brown patty color scheme is also beautiful, so it can be easily matched with various other items. I used to work part-time at McDonald's, so I have a thing for burgers, and it was love at first sight. I also love the shoes!

The voluminous deck shoes go well with thick military pants, and the construction is solid and the silhouette is cute. Even a person with large feet can wear them with ease.
-They use an original wooden pattern and have a more roomy silhouette than regular deck shoes. The outer "Utility Blouson" is 6,990 yen. Genderless, easy to wear and functional. Black is of course ironclad, but the Fang Camo pattern is also very cool.

Tsuzuki: I love how they inserted the fangs into this desert camo! It's so cute with a hidden pop of color, where olive-colored military pants would be too rugged! I'm torn....

The top button is also noteworthy! It can be accented when the front is closed all the way, or if you want, you can replace it with another button. It's so cute!
-The bottoms, by the way, can be converted into shorts by removing the zipper below the knees. I thought you might like this detail.
Tsuzuki: I like it! My brand also does this, and I appreciate the reversible and 2-way designs.

There are more ways to wear it, and you can layer it with patterned tights underneath, or open it just a little to show a glimpse of the inside, without removing it completely. I appreciate this kind of playful clothing when I enjoy fashion. Also, this tunic shirt is also good, except for the one I wore. Oh, what's this hem...?

-It can also be removed with a zipper to be used as a short length jacket as well.
Tsuzuki: Oh, man...! I was going to make an item completely based on the same idea, and I'm glad I didn't. Because this one is designed so that when you remove the hem, you can see the pocket sleeves on purpose. I thought it was cheating!

I think there are definitely a lot of people who want to wear short length shirts with big silhouettes, and the fact that only the top has snap buttons makes me think, "I'm doing it! I think the broadcloth shirt is white. The rounded hem is exquisite, and the way it looks when worn with outerwear is just right.
-The bright red cap looks great on you too. A true Mac Crew!

Tsuzuki: The silhouette and size are exquisite. There is an adjuster for size adjustment, which is great for hat refugees with a large bee circumference. And for 1,290 yen, you even get UV protection...what, it's practically free already? The socks are also easy to use: white or navy, but beige is also good.

The graphic T-shirts, which will be active from early spring to summer, are also worthy of your attention.
Tsuzuki: Cute! I'm going to buy one now and hang it on my balcony. Then, at the beginning of summer, it will be exposed to the sun, wind and rain, and you can enjoy a nice change over time.
-Conclusion. Who do you think these 1st collections of "yuzzies" will stick with?
Tsuzuki: I want people like me who love vintage clothing and people who are not interested in fashion to pick up this book. I want people to understand how valuable and valuable high quality, reasonably priced items are, and I think that if they broaden their horizons to include their favorite vintage clothing, fashion will become even more enjoyable.

-Often people talk about the pros and cons of wearing a band T but never having heard the band's music. I think that people who have never heard of "Undercover" may pick up this "Yoozy.
Tsuzuki: Now, that's not the point anymore. It's just something that the recipient discovers on their own or interprets in an expanded way. If even one person out of 100 who picks up a product without knowing about Undercover becomes interested in it and says, "I wonder what kind of brand it is," that's a win. and even one person becomes interested, that's a win. So I say, "Just try it on for now! That's all I can say. Clothes are only as good as the people who wear them.

-A supreme word of wisdom that seems to come from your love of clothes. You work as both a comedian and a designer, what are your future plans?
Tsuzuki: I think the fact that I am a comedian gives me an advantage that other designers do not have, and I hope that through me and my brand, we can create that kind of movement in the fashion industry.

It would be nice to have a pop-up event where the items are hand-printed with silk screens, as was the case with Undercover in its early days. I hope to find my own style that is cool, fun, and fits the current era.
