Snap1: Junpei Kobayashi, Director, Brilla per il gusto
Wearing model:SUN #L Black
PROFILE
Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1983, he joined BEAMS in 2008. After working as store staff and PR at stores in the Kansai region, he was appointed to the head office press in 2015 and will assume his current position in 2022.

Do you usually wear eyewear?
Kobayashi: I only wear PC glasses at work, but I wear them quite often in my private life. I have several pairs of "IJIBIZI" glasses, and I love using them.
Do you use several of them in different ways?
Kobayashi: I have one glass in my car for driving and one for my computer for work. The other glass is for everyday use.
What made you decide to purchase the house?
Kobayashi: In the past, we tried to sell reading glasses (reading glasses) on the dress floor of BEAMS, but we couldn't find any good ones. At that time, a creative director in the company told me about Ijpigi, and I bought a pair for myself as well as starting to sell them at the company.
Mr. Kobayashi, I hear that you make many business trips to Europe. How is your reputation there?
Kobayashi: I often go to Italy and London, and I find them in department stores in nice sections. I have often seen local people wearing them. Perhaps recognition of the brand is more advanced than in Japan.
Please tell us what you think is attractive about "Ijpigi".
Kobayashi: Design, lightness, and then price. I think the balance between these three is really excellent. This feeling is not something you can find anywhere else. Also, my daughter is small, and when we go on picnics together, unexpected things happen. So I can't spend a lot of money on expensive things. But IJI-PIJI has a wide range of movement in the temples and is scratch-resistant, so I don't have to panic when my child suddenly takes it off. I like that too. I like that too.

MIKU'S MEMO
If eyewear fits within the face line, it gives a traditional impression. On the other hand, if the eyewear is large enough to extend beyond the face line, it creates a sporty image. If they are too small, they can look retro. So, Ms. Kobayashi's balance is wonderful. The selection is perfect considering the style of the dress!
Snap2: Mami Yamada (IKITSUKE staff)
Wearing model:25SS STADIUM SUN #PLAY Active Yellow
PROFILE
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from junior college, she joined "UNITED ARROWS". After working as a sales staff member and store manager at various stores in the Kanto area, she joined "IKITSUKE," a select store run by a couple who became independent from the company in 2021. He is currently working at the Kamikitazawa store.
Instagram:@ikitsuke_store
Do you actually own Ijpigi?
Yamada: I love it. It is always in my bag, and it is one of my must-haves when I travel to Hawaii every year. I have four of them now. There are so many color variations, so I just want to collect them all.
When you go to Hawaii, do you take a few bottles with you?
Yamada: I go for 4 nights and 6 days or so, so I usually have about 3 bottles. They are really useful because they are lightweight and don't break even if you pop them in a rough bag.
Please tell us why you chose the eyewear you are wearing this time.
Yamada: I like a relaxed yet simple style, so I like to make accessories such as sunglasses and accessories pop. At that time, I thought this model was perfect for me, and it blended very well with my skin.
How are customers' reactions to the "Ikitsuke" brand?
Yamada: Many people buy "izipigi" in addition to apparel. Since this design is priced at 10,000 yen, people tend to buy it in addition to their apparel. I think this price is the most attractive point.

MIKU'S MEMO
I think this person's bangs have a longer bang, so I think I've chosen something that won't interfere. The narrow shape is also very trendy. Also, she has parallel eyebrows, so I think the top line of the frame matches her own browline well and is well balanced!
Snap3: Kosei Yamauchi and Kotomi Takeuchi (FREAK'S STORE Shibuya staff)
Wearing model: (left)SUN LIGHTCOLOR #E Tortoise (Light green lenses), (right) (R)SUN LIGHTCOLOR #D Tortoise (Light blue lenses)
PROFILE
Both were born in 1999 and have been close friends since their college days. Mr. Takeuchi joined FREAK'S STORE in 2022. Mr. Yamauchi worked for a skateboard brand before joining the "FREAK'S STORE
Shibuya" in 2024.
Instagram:@freaksstore_shibuya
We understand that you wear "Ijpigi" on a regular basis.
Yamauchi: I wear them outdoors, skateboarding, and surfing in the summer. I have other sunglasses, but I always end up picking up "Ijpigi" sunglasses because I can use them casually.
Please tell us what you think is attractive about Ijpigi.
Takeuchi: The best thing about them is that they are lightweight. I have several pairs of eyewear, but most of them hurt my ears after wearing them all day long. But Ijpigi eyewear doesn't tire me out at all, and it doesn't hurt at all.
Why did you choose the eyewear you are wearing now?
Yamauchi: My face is long, so I try to wear something with a good width. I also like a horizontal look, so I like a tortoiseshell look. It also goes well with my clothes.
Takeuchi: I like eyewear with roundish frames, and I also thought the color of the lenses was spring-like. I have a clear face, so I think that colors like that give me a softer look. This year, many variations have been released, and I would like to buy a few more!

MIKU'S MEMO
The tortoiseshell and green lens combination worn by the men is an old classic and goes well with American casual wear. The women have distinctive eyebrows, but I think it's good that they chose thin rims so as not to squash them. Both are cute!
Snap4: Yukiko Funakoshi (Buyer and store manager of B-B-B Potters)
Wearing model:SUN POLARIZED #D Sandstorm
PROFILE
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, she is the buyer and store manager of B-B-B Potters, a long-established general merchandise store in Yakuin, Fukuoka, which has been in operation since 1991.
Instagram:@bbbpotters
I heard that B-B-B Potters has been dealing with "Ijipigi" for a long time.
Funakoshi: That's right. The store itself has been around for more than 30 years, and we have a lot of people from the older generation. For them, we started dealing in reading glasses at first. People don't really know where to buy so-called reading glasses. But when they are lined up in a store like ours, I think it is easier for them to pick them up.
There are not many reading glasses that pop so much.
Funakoshi: There are very few things that are just right. Izzy Pigi's designs are wonderful, and they are comfortable and stress-free. Since last fall, we have been gradually increasing our sunglasses lineup.
Do you use Izypigi on a regular basis?
Funakoshi: I carry reading glasses with me at all times. I commute by bicycle, so I also wear sunglasses every day. I think I have three pairs in total.
What do you think is the appeal of "Ijpigi"?
Funakoshi: Personally, I think it's the hinge. Because it expands horizontally, it will fit any face without adjustment. I also like that the design is not too unique and can be worn casually.
Please tell us why you chose the glasses you are wearing today.
Funakoshi: I liked the two-tone coloring and thought it blended well with my skin. Also, I always tie my hair up, and when I put on or take off the matte ones, my hair comes undone. But this work is acetate, so I don't have that stress.

MIKU'S MEMO
The selection was made based on an understanding of her own character, and she did a great job. Normally, strong contrast between the frames and lenses would make the wearer look fancier, but with her outfit, she has a mode atmosphere. The balance between the eyewear and the hairstyle is also very well done.
Snap5. Toshinori Otsuki and Keiko Hamamatsu (Strato staff)
Wearing model: (left)SUN LIGHTCOLOR #C Tortoise (Light blue lenses), (right) SUN LIGHTCOLOR #E Light Tortoise (Light Brown lenses)
PROFILE
Ms. Otsuki, born in 1998 and originally from Kyoto Prefecture, and Ms. Hamamatsu, born in 1994 and originally from Aichi Prefecture. Both work as sales staff at Strato, a charismatic store in Osaka.
Instagram:@strato_osaka
I heard that you both wear eyewear on a regular basis.
Otsuki: I wear them so much that there is not a day that goes by that I don't wear them. I wear sunglasses even when I am standing in a store or outdoors.
Hamamatsu: I also commute by bicycle, so it is a must then.
What do you two think is the appeal of "Ijpigi"?
Hamamatsu: It's cheap and easy to use. The design is lightweight and goes well with my everyday casual fashion. In summer, I especially like to wear bright colors, so I feel that "Ijpigi" fits me even better.
Otsuki: Yes, it is true that the price range is a big challenge for us. I am sure that you will be able to find something to your liking since there is a wide variation. I am confident in recommending IJIPIJI eyewear to first-time wearers as well.
So you are saying that this is a good introduction.
Otsuki: There are plenty of expensive eyewear out there. I think there are many people who hesitate and end up not buying eyewear. If that is the case, it may be a crude way of putting it, but I think it would be a good idea if they buy "Ijpigi" for now (laughs).
What is the reason why you chose to wear what you are wearing now?
Otsuki: I like things with volume. I also like clear lenses, which I think are summery.
Hamamatsu: I also chose a lighter density. I tend to choose darker ones in winter, but for the upcoming leisure scene, something with a sense of lightness like this would be good.

MIKU'S MEMO
The color combination is fresh and spring-like. Also, the women's eyewear picks up the color of the shoes. This is a man's bucket hat, but be careful not to bring dark lenses here, as they will be very heavy. When wearing a bucket hat, as this gentleman does, brighter eyewear is recommended!
Snap6. Ryota Takahashi (Manager, WOODY HOUSE)
Wearing model:SUN LIGHTCOLOR #D Tortoise (Light green lenses)
PROFILE
Born in 1982 in Kyoto. Manager of WOODY HOUSE, a store with its main store in Maizuru, Kyoto, and 13 other locations in the Keihanshin region.
Instagram:@woodyhouse__honten
What do you think is the appeal of "Ijpigi"?
Takahashi: Compared to other brands, the feeling on the nose is softer. Especially imported brands tend to leave marks on the nose or cause earache, but this is rarely the case with "Ijpigi. Also, the hinges are soft, so they fit perfectly to any person.
Do you feel that it is easy to match with your daily outfits?
Takahashi: They can be worn with both current outfits and outdoor outfits. Recently, the number of people who go trekking in Maizuru has been increasing, and these people are also buying them.
Maizuru is a town rich in nature, with the sea, mountains, and rivers.
Takahashi: That's right. Recently, there was a big festival held in Maizuru, and many people bought them for that occasion. If you go to that festival, I am sure you will see many people wearing "Ijpigi" (laughs).
Have you been dealing with "Ijpigi" for a long time?
Takahashi: Last year, we had a pop-up and sold the products for only two weeks. The response was so great that we decided to try a full lineup this year.
So the response from the audience was positive.
Takahashi: Everyone was surprised not only by the good design and functionality, but also by the price. It is true that you can't find a product of this quality for this price anywhere else.

MIKU'S MEMO
It's nice to have a mature and sexy look! I think her entire outfit is probably very expensive. And then there's the casual "Ijipigi. This makes the person look more relaxed and easy to approach (laughs). (Laughs) The eyewear adds just the right casual element, which is wonderful.
Snap7. Junichi Kinoshita (Owner, PEPS)
Wearing model:SUN POLARIZED #E Crystal
PROFILE
Born in 1983 in Gifu Prefecture. After working at an import select store for many years, he opened the store "PEPS" in Gifu City in 2021 with the concept of "Souvenir". He is also the designer of the original brand "KISO THREE
He also designs the original brand "KISO THREE RIVERS".
Instagram:@peps_gifu
When did you start selling Ijpigi in your stores?
Under the trees: That's when we started the store, so it started in 2021. I liked the catchy price and that's when they came out with the polarized lens type. Fishing is popular in this area, and fishermen often come to the store. So I thought it would be nice to have casual "Ijpigi" lenses that could be worn both for fishing and on the street.
Are polarized lenses rare at this price?
Under the trees: I don't think so. Polarized lenses are extremely expensive, so I appreciate the price. Moreover, the fishing we usually do doesn't require that level of precision, so the "Ijpigi" is working well for us.
What else do you like about Ijpigi?
Under the trees: The colors are unique. I thought the matte look was interesting, and the clear colors that started this year are also fresh.
I thought it was in harmony with the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Under the trees: The concept of the store is a "souvenir shop," so it would be a bit different to do crafty sunglasses here. This casual feeling is also a part of Ijipigi's charm.
How is the response from the audience?
Under the trees: Now that we have clear ones in stock, we are getting a good response, especially from women. I guess it's getting warmer and they want to wear these colors. But you know, I really like these eyewear. I myself buy more pairs every season.

MIKU'S MEMO
It's a perfect character winner! The distinctive hairstyle, the white T-shirt, and the clear lenses on it. I have no complaints! He looks like a summer man!
Snap8. Ryota YAMOTO (Beauty & Youth PR)
Wearing model:25SS STADIUM SUN #D Orange Smash
PROFILE
Born in Miyagi Prefecture in 1993, he joined "UNITED ARROWS" as a new graduate in 2015. After working as a sales staff, he has been in his current position since 2023.
Instagram:@yamoto_ryota
Do you usually wear eyewear?
YAMOTO: I wear sunglasses all year round and I think I have about 10 pairs. Of course, I also use "Ijpigi" sunglasses.
What kind of eyewear do you own?
YAMOTO: It changes from time to time, but nowadays metal frames are more common than celluloid frames. Prices range from high-end to inexpensive.
What do you think is the appeal of "Ijpigi"?
YAMOTO: Affordability is the best. When I first bought my first pair, I wanted something I could wear casually, without thinking about it.
Why did you choose the eyewear you are wearing now?
YAMOTO: First, I wanted to wear leather shoes today. To match the color, I chose eyewear in the same color. Also, I think many people tend to wear sporty or outdoor wear, but I wanted to match it with a clean look.
I felt that this was indeed a unique way of dressing for you.
YAMOTO: I had preconceived notions at first, but when I tried it on, I found that it blended well. Recently, I have been thinking about subtly picking up colors, not only in eyewear. It makes the whole look more cohesive.

MIKU'S MEMO
Matching the colors of accessories is one of the techniques, and this person also matched the colors of the eyewear and shoes, which is a nice combination. The color of her hair is also brownish, which makes it even more cohesive. The overall feel of the materials also blends well with each other, making it a style that looks like it could be imitated, but I don't think it can be. This is an advanced style!
Snap9. Michiru Mizumoto (Salon Adam et Ropé staff)
Wearing model:SUN #D Frozen Blue
PROFILE
Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1997. After graduating from university, he worked in product development at a food manufacturer before joining Salon Adam et Ropé in 2022.
Instagram:@salonadametrope_michiru
Do you usually wear eyewear?
Mizumoto: I have always had bad eyesight, so I have always worn glasses since I was a child. Even after I became an adult, I often wear contact lenses, date glasses, and sunglasses.
What do you think is the appeal of "Ijpigi"?
Mizumoto: It is a place where there are many designs. There are so many variations in both frame and lens colors. I think there is something to fit everyone. Also, since they are unisex, I have an image that many couples or married couples use them for the same purpose.
It is true that there are not many brands that offer such a wide variety of shapes.
Mizumoto: That's right. I think it is also nice for clothes lovers to be able to have many pieces of clothing because the price is affordable. You can enjoy them by changing them depending on the fashion of the moment.
What is the reason why you chose what you are wearing today?
Mizumoto: I thought they were cute at first glance, and since I often wear black clothes, clear sunglasses give me a relaxed look. I think clear frames go well with summer, so I think they will be useful in the coming seasons.

MIKU'S MEMO
I think the arched browline and eyewear match very well. Also, it is very difficult to match sunglasses with feminine styles. At that time, sizing is the most important thing. If you wear large ones, it will give a vacation feeling. So the trick is to keep them well inside the face and make them compact in size.
Snap10. Takashi Yamaguchi (Owner, CAMPS)
Wearing model:SUN POLARIZED #C Sandstorm
PROFILE
Born in 1993 in Fukuoka Prefecture, he will take over and become the owner of "CAMPS," a select store in Imaizumi, Fukuoka City, in 2021, which has been running since 2001. He has been dealing with many brands from Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama, and other western Japan.
Instagram:@camps.fukuoka
Do you usually wear eyewear?
Yamaguchi: I wear [イジピジ] all year round. I wear clear lenses when I am indoors and dark lenses when I am outdoors. I often wear them all day long.
How many bottles of IZIPIJI do you own?
Yamaguchi: I have four of them. I have a dark lens, a light lens, and a folding one. I use them for daily use, for activities, etc.
What made you decide to purchase Ijpigi?
Yamaguchi: I was not in the habit of wearing eyewear, partly because I have good eyesight. I rarely wore sunglasses. So I always felt stressed when I wore eyewear. But "Ijpigi" was different. They were lightweight, and the hinges were comfortable to wear because they were wide, so I thought I could wear them.
The difference from other eyewear was the lightness, right?
Yamaguchi: Also, the imported ones have big lenses. I felt like I was wearing something that was too big. I think the design of "Ijpigi" fits Japanese people well.
CAMPS carries "izipigi," but could you tell us about your customers' reactions to it?
Yamaguchi: Many people pick up our eyewear because of the affordable price. There are many customers like me who are not comfortable with eyewear, but I feel that the price, design, and functionality are ideal as an entry-level model.

MIKU'S MEMO
People often wear all-black on the street, but if you bring strong black eyewear, it can create an unexpected sense of modesty or give a heavy impression. In such cases, eyewear with a sense of slackness will bring the whole look into balance. Eyewear is a very useful balancer.
