Sunglasses will be in use more and more from now on, but if you wear them indoors or at night, your vision will be too dark. It's not just a matter of "taking them off," but there are times when you have to wear them to coordinate with your outfit. IZIPIZI has released a new model with light-dimming lenses that is convenient for such situations. To introduce its appeal, we invited actor Junki Totsuka, a hobbyist and gear enthusiast. Through an interview, we introduce his personal and fashion sense, as well as the appeal of IZIPIZI's dimmable lens models.

Mr. Totsuka's active hobbies are increasing more and more.

First of all, could you tell us about your fashion obsession, Mr. Totsuka?

Totsuka: I have always liked clothes, but I don't really decide where to buy them. I often go to secondhand clothing stores. I just walk around and buy whatever I see that I like.

I see that you have a lot of vintage clothing.

Totsuka: There are many. I also like new denim and leather jackets. There are a few things I'm growing.

I understand that you also enjoy motorcycles.

Totsuka: That's right. So I often wear leather jackets and the like when I ride my motorcycle.

Do you still own a motorcycle?

Totsuka: I have two cars, but I don't have much time to ride them these days. Even during those times, I regularly start the engine. If I leave them unattended, the batteries run up.

When you have time, do you go touring?

Totsuka: I do go. I really want to go very far away, like to an island by boat, but I only go on day trips.

Mr. Totsuka is truly multi-talented.

Totsuka: Right now, my first priority is golf. Whenever I have a little time, I go out to the course. I also go to the sauna and ride my bike. I went fishing on a TV show, but I'm afraid I might get addicted to it. I like gear.

Are there any other interests at the moment?

Totsuka: Shooting.

Why are you interested in shooting again?

Totsuka: People who shoot are older, but many of them also used to play golf or fish, and it seems that shooting and hunting are what they end up doing. Isn't that a bit profound? That's where it all comes down to. It's not just about liking shooting. It's not just about liking shooting; it's about something more precious, something that goes beyond that, something like human instinct. If I am going to do it in the end, I might as well do it early.

Do the roles you play sometimes become your hobbies?

Totsuka: There may be, some of them.

I would like to talk about your work. I have the impression that you appear in various productions throughout the year.

Totsuka: Thankfully, yes. It is really thanks to all of you that you seek us out.

What do you think was the catalyst for your breakthrough?

Totsuka: To be honest, I haven't changed that much. Of course, my workload has increased, but the work I do and my attitude have always been the same. In that sense, I think it is hard work and important to keep working the same way.

Do you feel that you have hobbies to alleviate stress from work?

Totsuka: That may be so. Even on my days off, I go golfing rather than slacking off at home.

You are currently appearing in Mainichi Broadcasting System's "Ballet Boys! Do you think ballet will become a hobby for you?

Totsuka: Classical ballet was a bit, I don't know, too tight.... So it may not be a hobby for me (laughs). I have a newfound respect for ballet dancers. I used to have a hunchback, but during that period my posture was enforced, so my posture has grown 2 cm longer and higher.

It's a total of 8 episodes, but will you be able to dance at the end?

Totsuka: Yes, it is. So I would be happy if you could pay attention to that as well.
