The collection includes two models and four models that strongly reflect the skateboarding and bicycle culture that surrounds Mr. Sakoda.
AUTHENTIC ¥9,350 each
This is the "AUTHENTIC" with water-repellent suede on the front part of the upper and water-repellent canvas on the heel. These were created with the background that barbers often work with water.
The inspiration for the purple and black color scheme came from a collaboration between a certain skate brand and "Vans" sneakers, which were popular among skaters in the 2000s. The orange and white color scheme is based on the bright orange of the "Old Skool" sneakers from the 1990s. Off-white is added for a modern finish.
OLD SKOOL ¥9,900 each
Next is "OLD SKOOL" with reflector material on the side stripe and heel, created with respect for bicycle culture. The dark green and brown coloring is inspired by the colors of Mr. Sakoda's favorite bicycle. The bright blue upper with yellow coloring on the shoe tongue is a sampling of the messenger bag that Mr. Sakoda used in the past.
