Regardless of whether they are well-known or not, apparel brands are better off releasing logo items. Some brands make logo items as a matter of course, while others are well known as symbolic items of the brand. The Gap is naturally the latter.
The history of the Gap logo is a long one, so I won't bore you with it, but I'm sure that the logo is one of the reasons why Gap has become a brand known by everyone, from children to adults. However, this article is about more than just the Gap logo.
Browsing through the vast lineup from one end to the other, you'll find clothing like this.
Floral Print Baggy Pants
¥9,990 (scheduled for release in late August, online store only)
When you think of Gap's classic pants, denim shorts come to mind in addition to chinos and sweatshirts. When the brand ran a campaign featuring some 350 actors and musicians, and when supermodels graced the cover of Vogue, they were all wearing denim pants.
Beside such overwhelmingly popular items, there are also challenging pants like these. At first glance, it looks like a camouflage pattern, but upon closer inspection, it is a flower print. The baggy silhouette gives these pants a classic look. However, the crotch is deep, so they don't look old-fashioned, which is a good balance. These pants are a valuable addition to the Gap lineup.
canvas hooded jacket
¥19,900 (scheduled for release in late July)
When zipped up, you surely won't be able to tell the brand. It looks like a no-brand vintage item, or a current item that pays homage to vintage clothing. In a good sense, this jacket has a sense of being unidentifiable. It is, of course, a "Gap" jacket.
It is made of cotton 100% and is thick and durable. The hood and chinstrap are attached, and the drawcords placed in various places enhance the coarse atmosphere. The V design on the back is another interesting detail. The V design on the back is an interesting detail, and yet the zipper gives it a rough, casual look. This is a piece that we recommend to those who are not fond of old clothes that look like old clothes.
The Gap is one of the world's leading brands. Because the Gap's identity is rooted in everyone's mind, we have the privilege of pretending to be the Gap and playing around with it. To find out how to play with it, visit a Gap store or look online. The Gap's swamp is deeper than you can imagine.
