One of the most talked-about music topics last year was the reunion of the British band Oasis. The band's comeback tour, which began this summer, is drawing increasing attention in Japan, with a performance scheduled for next month in Tokyo.
In the midst of all this, we received word of a limited collection from Paul Smith. The collection celebrates the comeback tour of "Oasis.
The relationship between the two British icons began about 30 years ago. Noel Gallagher, one of the band's managers, wore a Paul Smith suit on the cover of Oasis' debut album "Definitely Maybe" (1994).
He still owns the suit. Last year, the suit was displayed in the exhibition "A Frame Around a Picture: Dressing the Greats" at Paul Smith's Melrose Avenue store in Los Angeles.
With this in mind, the capsule collection is inspired by the band's legacy and the fashion of the 1990s, when the band was in the limelight.
T-shirts, border T-shirts, caps, bags, and blousons will be available. In addition to prints and embroideries incorporating lyrics and titles of famous songs, special designs combining the "Oasis" logo and the signature stripe of "Paul Smith" will also be available.
The purchase bonus is an original sticker. A limited number of stickers will be available and one will be given per item purchased.
The fan-favorite items will go on sale on September 12 (Fri.). Please see below for stores that carry them. Also, Paul Smith is accepting pre-orders at its official online store until September 9 (Tue.).
