MEN'S BIGI, a pioneer in men's fashion in Japan, celebrates its 50th anniversary.

alreadyThis articleAs reported in the "BEGIN THE BIGI" article, the 50th anniversary promotion "BEGIN THE BIGI" will feature a variety of projects, and here we focus once again on the capsule collection with Creative Director Shinsuke Nakata, which was launched today.

Using "Men's Bigi" archives from the 1980s as a reference, the collection was composed based on the hound's tooth and brown colors and patterns used in various items. Mr. Nakata then combined different textures, his specialty, to create a capsule collection. The relaxed silhouette of the collection also follows that of past collections.

The collection offers nostalgic yet new everyday wear with a modern interpretation based on 50 years of history.

Actor Himi Sato was used for the looks shot for this capsule collection. Along with the looks that caught our attention, we picked up a few items to introduce.

COTTON TWILL x WOOL HOUND'S TOOTH REVERSIBLE COAT ¥88,000

This reversible coat is made of cotton twill on one side and wool hound's tooth on the other. The roomy silhouette allows you to wear a heavy sweater or sweatshirt parka without difficulty.

WOOL MELTON STADIUM JAMPER ¥88,000

Taking a cue from the stadium jacket released in 1987, this jacket has been refined with the luxurious use of high-quality leather and other materials. The brown and black color combination creates a somewhat chic finish.

SUEDE LIKE/HOUND'S TOOTH TRACK JACKET ¥26,400, WOOL HOUND'S TOOTH WIDE PANTS ¥30,800

This track jacket made of houndstooth-patterned cut jersey is a gem of arranging power that combines traditional with sports elements. It also looks great with wool pants.

This is a track jacket and track pants set-up made of suede-like double jersey. Mr. Nakata's style proposal of daring to match leather shoes is also unique.
