ZOO YORK, a skateboarding brand founded in 1993, was heavily influenced by the hip-hop and graffiti culture that originated in New York City. The latest collection of the brand, which has been around since the height of the hip-hop era, will be sold in Japan by the select store "JOURNAL STANDARD". Here are some of the items.
The items from "Zoo York," founded by a skater, are free of any tricks and show a solid understanding of hip-hop. By simply pairing these items with denim, they are sure to exude the greatest appeal.
To celebrate the launch of the collection, a reception party will be held at the Shibuya store on September 29 (Fri.) Four team riders will come to Japan for this purpose and decide to sign autographs. Novelty stickers will also be handed out in a small quantity.
In addition, on Saturday, September 30, a free kids' skateboarding school will be held at H.L.N.A SKATEPARK in Odaiba DiverCity, with a limited number of 30 kids. They will also be able to see professional skaters from New York riding live. Future skate stars may be born here. Non-participants are also welcome to watch.
