Over the past few years, events that combine sports and festivals, such as the Bubble Run and Color Run, have been gaining popularity, especially among young people. These are the ultimate "enjoyable" activities, but sports brands are leading the way in creating new types of events that are more serious about running and fun at the same time.
adidas is leading this trend with new ideas. adidas has held a number of new type of run events, such as "GREEN LIGHT RUN TOKYO," in which participants run 42.195 km in Tokyo using only green lights, and "Running 3 on 3," in which teams of three complete a number of missions in Harajuku.
The event introduced here is called "TOKYO RUN + 5 CHALLENGE! Teams of five runners will run around a 4km to 12km running course set up in Tokyo, challenging themselves with five secret challenges. A festival venue will be set up at the finish line, where a DJ will perform and awards will be presented as an after party.
In addition, all participants will receive an original running T-shirt from adidas Runners of Tokyo, a running project by adidas, and painted as a service available only on the day of the event,HAYATO MACHIDAcollaboration design can be printed at the venue.
A total of 2,000 people are scheduled to participate in this event, the largest in adidas history. The winning team will be invited to the "miRUN BUSAN" running event to be held in Busan, Korea in April next year!
