Do you know what pattern has become a bit popular among Hollywood celebrities? The answer is leopard, or leopard print. The background is a backlash against quiet luxury.
Leopard was added to the collection by Christian Dior, sublimated into mode, and incorporated into the counterculture to become real clothes.
This is a personal story, but the memory of the leopard leggings worn by Patricia Arquette's character Alabama in the movie "True Romance" (released in 1993) is still vivid in my mind. The leopard leggings were an indispensable prop in the portrayal of the slutty but innocent Alabama.
Jil Sander printed the pattern on hair calf. It is literally tanned leather made from raw hides of cows up to six months old, leaving the hairy legs. Compared to the popular hair cowhide, the leather is melt-in-your-mouth supple.
The compartment opens on two sides and consists of one coin pocket and four card slots on the back.
The opine leather (sheepskin) lining feels good in the hand.
Many people in Hollywood wear leopards all over their bodies, which gives them the look of real leopards. We admire that, but for us, a compact wallet is just right.
