Take a look at PARCO's advertisements that led the times. In addition to exhibiting advertisements spanning half a century, a talk session will be held at Shinsaibashi PARCO.

Commercial facilities do more than just sell goods. They capture the vortex of trends of each era, interpret them, and disseminate them. They may not be media, but they certainly play a part in the birth of culture.

Among the many commercial facilities in Japan, the advertisements of PARCO are indispensable in the history of fashion. We are pleased to announce that an exhibition featuring such advertisements is being held.

The title of the exhibition is "Advertising PARCO" 1969 - 2025 PARCO Advertising Exhibition. The exhibition reinterprets advertisements that have been created over the past half century from a contemporary perspective, and will be touring PARCO nationwide from November 2023.

The venue is structured to provide a glimpse into the origins of PARCO's advertising by tracing back four eras: "2000s and after," "1990s," "1980s," and "1970s. In addition, keywords corresponding to the transition of the zeitgeist are hypothetically set up for each area, allowing visitors to understand PARCO's advertising in a more systematic manner.

Another key point is that the exhibition is not just a dark cloud. Two guest curators were invited for each area, and posters and commercials were selected from their perspectives. The content of the discussions during the selection process is shown at the venue, and the same content is also included in the official leaflet.

Official leaflet ¥1,200

Clear file ¥400 each

Postcards (4 types) ¥200

Tote bag ¥2,000

In addition, official exhibition leaflets and commemorative goods will be on sale to celebrate the opening of the exhibition. The advertisement featuring Yuya Uchida as a model is also available as a commemorative item, so be sure not to miss it.

In addition, a talk session will be held to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Shinsaibashi PARCO. Creators with ties to PARCO, including Hiroshi Ito of Glue Visions and Tetsuya Chihara of MonRaifu, will be invited to look back on the history of PARCO's advertising along with its historical background and culture.

The date and time is Saturday, November 15. Don't miss this opportunity.

With the rise of social networking services, information flows like a waterfall every day. In fashion advertisement production, priority has been given to easy-to-understand, catchy visuals and the way clothes look. However, PARCO has never given up its strength and depth of flavor as an advertisement, and always seems to reign as the originator of fashion.

This is a rare opportunity to see a list of their ads. Please come and visit us.
