In 1957, OMEGA launched a trilogy of watches under its Professional line. The Speedmaster for racing drivers, the Seamaster 300 for divers, and the Railmaster for railroad workers.
The main attraction of the newly revived "Railmaster" was its outstanding resistance to magnetic fields. While most watches on the market can withstand magnetic fields of up to 60 gauss, the Railmaster was able to withstand fields of up to 1,000 gauss, which is two orders of magnitude higher. In this way, it won the trust of many engineers, not to mention railroad workers.
The Railmaster, now clad in a new, more intrepid stainless steel, has undergone an evolution that is worthy of a "new life.
The gradation of colors on the dial is impressive.

The Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8806 movement is 15 times more resistant to magnetic fields than the original Railmaster, or 15,000 gauss. It is certified by METAS (Swiss Federal Office of Metrology and Accreditation) to the industry's highest standards.
The aforementioned stainless steel is named 316L, which is one of the most corrosion-resistant types of stainless steel and is used in the medical field. The windshield is a synthetic sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. It ranks second only to diamonds in terms of Mohs hardness, a measure of hardness.
However, what cannot be overlooked is the minimalist design that makes it a masterpiece. The symmetrical dial consists only of Arabic numerals and indices. The exquisite shading of the dial adds a touch of glamour to the design.
With a diameter of 38 mm and a thickness of 12.36 mm, the watch fits comfortably on our wrists.
