Asia is still brimming with fascinating people and stories... I’ve found a book and an exhibition that really bring that to life.

This refers to the debut work *Yugi ［ Complete Edition ］* by WOSHIBAI, a cartoonist and illustrator based in Shanghai, China. Following its release in China, the U.S., and France, this 720-page complete edition is now coming to Japan.

You can read a sample hereBut I find myself completely drawn in by the minimalist style, with its sparse use of text and lines. And the blend of everyday motifs and a surreal worldview really brings out the fun of reading manga. This is amazing.
