An event aimed at creating a lively and attractive urban space, "Otemall," a cobblestone street in the central area of Toyama City.Major Mall Festivalswill be held on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15.
In this social experiment of a full-scale transit mall, where a variety of events including food and beverage, merchandise sales, music, and sports will be held in the street space and only pedestrians and LRT (streetcar) traffic will be allowed, the roadway of a major mall will be closed to traffic to study the impact on the bustle and public transportation.
By the way, "I'm here in Toyama, what kind of city is it?" I'm here on a business trip, but I have a little time on my hands, so is there anywhere I can go? I would like to recommend the aforementioned Centram ( Loop Line ) sightseeing tram that runs through the city. The Centram is a loop line that leaves Toyama Station, passes through the government offices and downtown area, and returns to Toyama Station. The best sightseeing spots along the line are Toyama Castle and the Glass Museum. For gourmet food, try the black ramen at Daiki's main restaurant.

DJ, rapper, and trackmaker Yakehara to perform on the 14th.

Live painting by Jun Inoue, who is active around the world, including creating murals for Nike's headquarters in Portland, will also be featured!
The Otemall Festival is not only an icon of Toyama (Centrum), but also a market with over 40 food stores and stores, from popular Toyama restaurants to up-and-coming stores, and authentic music and live art performances, etc. The Otemall Festival offers a wide range of contents for children and adults alike. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the Cultural Festival, which will be open to pedestrians for two days only.
