On October 22 and 23, Marc Gonzalez will hold an art exhibition and sale at the bookstore "BOOKMARC" by Marc Jacobs. He will be showing not only his new works, but also his well-known drawings, paintings, and a skateboard that he made himself.
Mark Gonzalez is one of the world's most famous professional skaters, sponsored by numerous skateboarding brands, including adidas. He appeared in Harmony Korine's film "Gummo" ('97), provided art for Sofia Coppola's film "Virgin Suicides" ('99), co-wrote with Spike Jonze for the short film "How They Get There", and has been a member of the boardwalking team for the film "The Rise of the Skater" ('99). Co-wrote the screenplay with Spike Jonze for the short film "How They Get There," and his work is not limited to skating, but continues to influence people all over the world today. He has also held two previous events at Bookmark, the venue for this exhibition.
For this exhibition, he has created approximately 100 works. He says that he is always conscious of irony and truth when creating his works, and the lineup will include cynical and pop artworks that reflect the current state of the world.
By the way, his favorite restaurant these days is Paris' "Le Bon Marché", San Francisco, "Wilkes Bashford", New York, NY.Bergdorf Goodman(They are all high-end department stores!). . He said his favorite movie so far is "The Hitcher," a psycho-suspense film.
