A store offering eyewear that enriches your daily lifestyle.Globespecs."Since the opening of its first store in Shibuya, Tokyo in 1998, the company has attracted numerous eyewear lovers by offering domestic and foreign brands with superior design and quality.
This August, Globespecs' Daikanyama store in Tokyo reopened. The new location is behind T-SITE, where the Tsutaya bookstore is located . It is located in a quiet area off the main street in an alley. The store consists of two floors, the first and second floors. Furniture from the 1900's to the 1960's, which was selected after a two-year journey around the world, accentuates the white-based interior of the store.
The store was created not with a cool, industrial atmosphere, but with a warmth that would make visitors feel at home: bookcases used in a New York law office, tables used for rolling cigars in Europe, and lighting fixtures used in factories in Eastern Europe. ...... The shop is not cool and industrial, but rather warm and inviting. In addition, a pop mandala painting with impact by artist MERRY (momoko), a customer of the store, is painted on the second floor wall.
The store was designed by Shi Yu Chen of the consulting firm CIA and his design partner Tomohiro Shimamura , who have been with Globespecs since its early days. Visitors can feel free to choose the eyewear of their choice at the new Daikanyama store, which will lift the spirits of all who visit.
