Keisuke Nagoshi's Roots. A collection of memories vividly depicting the illegal squatters known as "squatters" has been compiled.

Keisuke Nagoshi is a photographer who continues to take photos as he travels the world in search of something he has yet to discover.

The “squatters”—illegal occupants who frequently appear as subjects in Nagoshi’s work.

At the upcoming exhibition titled “DEAR MY FRIENDS,” previously unpublished works by the Squatters will be on display and available for purchase.

The story is set on the West Coast of the United States in the early 2000s. After learning about the existence of squatters—people who illegally occupy properties—in his late teens, Nagoshi lived and worked alongside his lovers, Troll and Suzy, whom he met in Melrose, taking photographs and encountering all sorts of people.

It is said that the experience of this journey had a profound influence on Nagoshi’s subsequent work. This exhibition features works spanning more than 20 years—works that represent both his latest creations and his artistic roots.
