Light is essential for humans to live as humans. For the Fall/Winter 2026/27 season, 〈HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE〉 is exploring this very concept of light. An initiative to further explore this theme has begun at “ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA | CUBE.” It is a special exhibition curated by photographer Mark Boswick.

This season’s collection was created based on the theme “In a New Light.”
The collection focuses on the texture of the fabric revealed when light hits the pleats, the drape created by the breeze, and the three-dimensional shadows and shapes that emerge as the garment interacts with the body—all enhanced by Mark Boswick’s signature poetic and free-spirited approach.
The venue features a space designed to evoke the artist’s everyday studio, showcasing newly shot still photographs, screening video works, and presenting a booklet directed by the artist.

The exhibition runs through Tuesday, July 28. We’ve also received the comments and photos of the venue below, but we’d really love to experience it in person.
"Into the Light"... I appeared... Into life...
Life is a co-creation through communion with the soul
It is a gateway to a world that brings new connections
The fusion of consciousnesses, dissolving into a deeper connection
We are the very door that leads to “now”…
Meditation is a hymn… directed toward the gaze of Mother Nature…
Through that path that has been drawn
Gently embracing us …
Life is a journey that shines with pure radiance, like a kaleidoscope.
The thrill of letting my longing for the light run free…
A mirror that reflects multifaceted illusions
As the horizon rises, our hearts draw one another closer
Into the Unknown
Opening My Heart to the Light
