Comfort over trends. PAPAS is a brand that has been offering clothing for adults with this phrase as one of its key concepts. Before we knew it, this year marks 40 years since the brand’s launch.
To mark this milestone, we commissioned a custom-made piece from the long-established British brand *INVERTERE*.
"I want to create a duffle coat that’s both high-quality and playful."
Inspired by this sentiment, this piece features a special design with the cords on the toggle buttons arranged randomly. We’ve also replaced the leather cords with jute ones.

Furthermore, while *Inverti* duffle coats are typically unlined, this one apparently has a lining on the front panel. It is included to reinforce the jute laces where they are fastened with toggles.
However, the herringbone wool produced by “Joshua Ellis”—the UK’s oldest textile factory—the buffalo horn toggle buttons, and the original patterns from “Inverti” remain unchanged.
This duffle coat is made-to-order and requires advance payment. Orders will be accepted at the “Papas Marunouchi Main Store” through Friday, July 31. According to the store, shipping will begin in late November after the items arrive in stock.
