Now in its third season, this year’s initiative focuses on the cycle of life fostered by lush forests and botanical gardens. It is a collaboration between “CMIC Yatsugatake Medicinal Plant Garden” and “Camino Natural Lab.”
The former was dyed a dark greige using chestnuts that were unsuitable for consumption and were scheduled to be discarded. The latter was dyed a dark red using pinecones.
Both feature unique, deep hues that chemical dyes simply can’t replicate—they’re truly lovely. They have a relaxed feel that makes them easy to wear every day, and I really appreciate that they’re made using a process that minimizes color fading.
