We documented Junichiro Shimada's life over the course of 580 days.The Documentary Film "About Jun". Starting with the “Atago Theater” in Kochi in August 2025, the film has been screened at 16 locations across 10 prefectures to date. Screenings are scheduled for Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, at “Theater Kinematica” in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, and on Saturday, October 10, at the “Shimokitazawa Film Festival” in Tokyo.

Ryutaro Tano, the creator of *About Jun*, handled all aspects of the film—production, cinematography, editing, and direction—entirely on his own. Following the screening at the *Shimokitazawa Film Festival*, a talk event featuring Junichiro Shimada and Ryutaro Tano is also scheduled.
Advance and same-day tickets for the “Shimokitazawa Film Festival” are ¥1,800 and go on sale at noon on Saturday, September 19. If same-day tickets remain available, residents, workers, and students in Setagaya Ward can purchase them for ¥500. Incidentally, screenings are scheduled for the rest of the year at venues such as “Cinémathèque Takasaki” in Takasaki City and “Cinema Scolaire” in Nagoya City.
Natsuha-sha, which spares no effort and takes the time to carefully deliver each and every book to its readers, is a story in itself—one that makes you want to say, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” *About Jun* is also a work that feels like one of those stories from Natsuha-sha—or rather, from Jun’ichirō Shimada himself.
