The latest addition to the “Speedmaster 38” collection is the model that Reynaldo Ascherman, President and CEO of OMEGA, proudly declared has further enriched the “Speedmaster” DNA.
The two standout features are the round sub-dials and the substantial bezel. Both evoke the look of that iconic “Moonwatch” that landed on the moon. The “Dot Over 90” engraved on the tachymeter scale serves as the perfect accent to this imposing design.
“Dot-Over 90,” featuring a dot positioned diagonally above the number 90. It follows the design of the early "Speedmaster" models.
At the same time, the text on the dial has been streamlined to the bare minimum, further enhancing its sophistication.
No matter how many times you look at it, you never get tired of it—it’s a face that really appeals to men.
The lineup consists of seven models in total. Three of them are made entirely of stainless steel, and models featuring two-tone designs and diamond-set styles have also been introduced.
The model featured here is a black-based stainless steel watch that combines a matte dial with an aluminum bezel. The finish truly lives up to the claim that “the Moonwatch’s design codes have been meticulously layered.” It is the only non-date model among the seven. The movement is the Co-Axial Caliber 3332, a COSC-certified chronometer with a power reserve of approximately 52 hours.
The history of the small-caliber automatic-winding models began in 1988. This new release could be considered the culmination of that journey.
