. In the Smithsonian Institution in the U.S., fax machines are displayed as antiques. . On the other hand, in Japan, fax machines are still sold in units of one million per year.
Japan is a Galapagos market, and although there are still some strange customs, the world is moving toward more and more convenience. For example, infrastructure for distribution has been improved, and the media environment has changed dramatically with the advent of social networking services. Intermediary costs and ties have been eliminated, spurring a free market.
When we look at such trends from a fashion perspective, we notice a movement called "the rise of small shops/brands". I may have overstretched myself, but what I want to convey is that small stores run by individuals are unique and interesting! I've spread the story too wide, but what I want to tell you is that small shops run by individuals are unique and interesting! First of all, I would like to introduce a secondhand clothing shop called "F.P MART" located in Shimokitazawa.

F.P MART" is located a 7-8 minute walk from the Shimokitazawa South Exit. F.P MART is a rare store jointly operated by two popular used clothing stores, "FILM" in Shimokitazawa and "PALETOWN" in Hatagaya.
There used to be a "film" shop here, but it was moved to a store across the street when the building was demolished to make way for an urban development project. After that, it was operated as a rental space for a while, but we had a chance to talk about opening a store again. We decided to do it together with Mr. Tanigawa of "Pale Town.
." says Mr. Shimada, the owner of Films. Although he and Mr. Tanigawa of "Pale Town" have not known each other as long as they have known each other, the fact that they shared a mutual sense of feeling was the deciding factor in their decision.

. "I like things that are eclectic. . I don't think it's the so-called thrift store kind of value. . It might be hard to verbalize, like, "I kind of like this stuff around here," or something like that. Like this ornament, it's not the kind of thing you'd find in a thrift store, but I like it because it's interesting."
Folk art and other items from around the world are lined up, but they all have a pop. The charm of the selection is not only in terms of antiquity, rarity, or manufacturing techniques, but also in its lightness.

. the relationships with members of popular bands, artists, illustrators, and neighborhood stores are also part of the attraction. Recently, a project called "THIS IS MY CAPE SHOULDERS" displayed and sold custom derby jackets created by various people and proved to be very popular. Anyway, it is cute!
. "THIS IS MY CAPE SHOULDERS" got a resounding response. . We asked artists and stores with whom we originally had close relationships to customize derby jackets. Originally, "FILM" did not have a social networking service, but we opened an Instagram page for the first time as "F.P MART," and thankfully, more and more people saw it and came to us.
The store is frequented by a variety of artists, including members of D.A.N. and neveryoungbeach. The deep relationship with music can only be found in the town of Shimokitazawa.

The selection of vintage clothing with a sense of lightness is also appealing. The selection is based on a realistic point of view, with a meticulous eye for aesthetics. Although there is no selection of rare vintage clothing, there are items that hit the right spot and are exactly what you would want to wear now.

. we don't know when we will be notified (laughs). I don't know how long I will be able to continue. Maybe that's why we can continue to have fun and take it easy.
While "F.P MART" is still in business, why don't you pay a visit? A selection of well-defined and individualized selections awaits you.
