Treat yourself to a festive feast on this holy night. A Christmas-exclusive dinner will be served at Trunk Hotel Cat Street.

It’s just Christmas—but it’s still Christmas. Some might say it’s too early, but it’s always best to prepare thoroughly for any event. When it comes to something fun, you can’t go wrong by starting to plan as early as possible.

The "Trunk Hotel Cat Street" in Shibuya will be offering a Christmas dinner course for two days only, from Thursday, December 24, to Friday, December 25. Here’s a look at the festive feast unique to 2026.

The six-course meal features a classic menu that includes everything from appetizers to fish, meat, and dessert. It showcases seasonal ingredients such as red sea bream—which is at its fattest in winter—Hakodate-sourced shark flounder with a crispy skin, and Ezo deer, whose flavor intensifies as the cold sets in.

The 8-course meal is made even more luxurious with the addition of soup and pasta. The meal begins with a potage of snow-covered carrots topped with a foam infused with a subtle hint of black truffle in a clam broth, followed by Kagoshima-grown soft-shelled turtle tortellini, where ginger and Kujo scallions round out the finish. The main course features Wagyu beef fillet. For dessert, “Yūbeni” strawberries from Kumamoto Prefecture take center stage. This dish features the strawberries wrapped in mascarpone, accented with bergamot and thyme.

At “Trunk Store,” under the theme “Mémoire de Noël (Memories for the Future),” they plan to sell Christmas cakes made with ingredients sourced from producers in Kumamoto Prefecture. This initiative was conceived with the recovery and reconstruction efforts following the Kumamoto earthquakes—the first 10 years ago and the second this year—in mind, and features fruits, chestnuts, and tea leaves grown by residents of Mashiki Town, which suffered extensive damage at the time, as well as Yatsushiro City and Uki City, which were affected this year.

“Le Lien,” a cake available for in-store pickup, is a creation whose name means “bond” or "connection" in French. It combines "Yuubeni" strawberries from Yamashita Strawberry Farm in Yatsushiro City with Grant lemons from Takaoka Orange Farm in Uki City, all paired with chocolate.

This set includes two types of mini cakes to enjoy at home. “Soleil” features a whole Banpaku yuzu—a specialty of Yatsushiro City—used entirely, including the pulp, layered with mascarpone mousse, while “Châtaigne” is a tart baked with Minamata Japanese black tea and simmered Japanese chestnuts from Mashiki Town.

Another Christmas staple is roast chicken. We marinate young chickens overnight in mineral-rich French salt, along with homegrown rosemary and other herbs, then roast them to perfection—juicy and just the right amount of spicy. Why not try it as a set with the Christmas cake “Le Lian” we introduced earlier?

Celebrate Christmas with your loved ones over a special dinner. For details on how to make a reservation and more, please check the Information section. The Trunk Hotel promises you a memorable experience.
