Known as a classic military shoe, the German Trainer. This custom-made model—commissioned by from —retains the original design while incorporating thoughtful updates to the materials and comfort.
The design was based on a model adopted by the German military as a training shoe in the 1970s. In particular, the company reportedly drew inspiration from rare shoes used in the former East Germany and commissioned a factory that had been manufacturing military footwear at the time to produce them.
Available in two colors: brown and black. The shoe features a combination of different Italian leathers, with the upper made of a blend of suede and nubuck, and the collar crafted from nappa leather. The layering of leathers with distinct textures lends a sense of depth to this familiar German-style sneaker. Furthermore, the lining and insole are crafted from soft pigskin leather, and the rubber outsole—featuring an EVA midsole—ensures a lightweight, comfortable fit despite the shoe’s voluminous appearance.
